He turns his head so he can look at Orion, " girl? what happened? is everything alright?" he starts to get up out of the tank, tail lashing. It was early for them to make a bid, but he supposed once they were in the air they figured He and Orion were trapped. He would not go down easily however.

Orion crosses his arms and pouts, "that girl with the weird ears and the pastel colors. She kept asking me stupid questions and it was pissing me off."

Ren settles down hearing that, so it was not as bad as he feared. He settles back into the tank, " really? these questions bothered you?"

[MissyLooni]

Orion huffs, "yeah! She kept asking about how you expect to take care of me when basilisks usually just work and send money home. Its like, i can take care of myself! And why is it any business of hers?!"

Ren raises an eyebrow, " she is feeling out the situation. if i am spending my time taking care of you, instead of behaving as my kind normally do, she is trying to see if there is a payoff in the end that is driving the behavior. interesting."

[MissyLooni]

Orion pouts, puffing his cheeks out, "well i dont appreciate it. Its none of her business and i'm not going to be the one to help feel out a situation. Thats stupid! I dont like her."

Ren chuckles, " well, there are two reasons that they would be doing it. One, is to see if i really am like most of my kind and that you are safe with me, or two, if i am not. there is more than one reason to see if i am not, whether to take you out of my care to see you safe, or perhaps to collaborate with me. either way they seem to know more than they are letting on, perhaps they noticed your collar."

Orion's eyes widen and his hands go up to his neck, his gingers touching the scarf, "oh no... i... i hope not."

Ren sighs, " well, we will still remain on our guard regardless. hopefully their intentions are on the side of wanting to protect you. if they did notice there is little we can do about it. just keep that possibility in mind."

[MissyLooni]

Orion gives a numb nod before lying down and sighs

Ren looks over at him, " are you alright? we could get off next time they make a stop and find another ship..."

[MissyLooni]

Orion sighs, "no it... should be fine. They are going very close to where we need to be and we may not get another chance."

[Namari]

Ren nods, " indeed. it would not be easy to find another ship to take, but i was not going to say so lest that keep you from speaking up were you uncomfortable staying."

Orion shakes his head,  "no its best to have all information at hand in order to make a decision. "

Ren nods, " however i would not want you to stay someplace you felt unsafe for my sake."
