Tai sighs, "I suppose I can do it. Not much I do at the helm anyway unless we're under attack. Plus I can smell where they are without checking around the maps so I'll be faster."

Coco snorts, "faster? I thought out of all of us you were the slowest?"

Tai's scales turns a bit flushed pink and she pouts, "You could STILL go instead of me."

Coco shakes her head, "Just teasing you. You may be slow speed wise but you do a great job at using your surroundings to stay ahead of all of us."

Tai turns even more red, now in embarrassment, "Oh stop it. I swear my scales are gonna get stuck being pink at this rate." She gives another quick stretch before she grabs her warming shawl and wraps it around herself before heading out to find the boys

Sally laughs softly, " well we can;t all be rush headfirst into the fray sorts. i appreciate it Tai, thanks!"

Ren was finishing his meal and let loose a decently loud belch, looking smug and satisfied.

Orion jumps a bit and his face turns deep blue as he looks at Ren, "What.... the heck was that?"

Ren chuckles, " that was compliments to the chef for a meal well enjoyed."

Orion snorts, "I have never heard a burp before. But even so I can easily tell that is impressive."

Ren grins and pats his stomach, " glad to have demonstrated your first burp so enthusiastically."

Tai hums softly as she walks into the cafeteria, smiling when the familiar scent of a basilisk leads her to ren and orion, "ah~ i'm glad to see you both together. How are both of you faring? "

Orion blinks and looks over at Tai nervously, "i- im fine, thank you..."

Ren blinks and sits up instead of leaning back, " we're alright... is there an issue?"

Tai hums and shakes her head, "No nothing's wrong. I just wanted to make sure you both were okay after yesterday. Goodness knows I always feel a bit nauseous after the ship makes a weird jump like that."

Orion looks at her carefully. She certainly didnt look to be dangerous. In fact she was the same height as Orion and he noticed her thick tail was always curled around her legs which made him think she wasnt fast, "Ah. yesterday. Uh thanks but im fine. really. thank you though."

Ren nods slowly, " i've dealt with worse, not something that would slow me down." he studies the shorter woman but relaxes somewhat, she was no threat. everything about her demeanor and body told him she wasn't used to combat. at least not the same way he was anyway, even if she did attack he was confident he could easily overpower her.

Tai gives a warm smile and nods, "oh good. Ah! But if you were to feel ill in the slightest then please dont hesitate to visit the infirmary. They are incredibly skilled and have excellent bed side manner as well~"

Orion nods, "it seems as though everyone here is incredibly skilled. Including the chefs."

Tai nods, curling her warming shawl tighter against her, "ah yes the chefs here are some of the best. The captain does her best to scout out amazing chefs from a large variety of sectors so that the food can be diverse to every region and stay true to how that food should tasre."

Ren snorts, " well thankfully they have not trained at my homeworld, i doubt that would appeal to many but myself. the flavors take... growing up with. but regardless whatever they use to prepare the fish is good."

Tai nods, "Yes the fish is really good. We always pick up the freshest food groups that are available on whatever station we stop at. Variety of ingredients as well. Im glad that the food is to your liking."

Ren nods, " i have not often been able to enjoy fresh fish since i left home, so it is very nice to have it." he shifts his weight, " so... is all well with the ship?"

Tai blinks and smiles, "Ah yes, the ship is just fine. It has an incredible ability to repair itself and the shield we have is nearly indestructible as long as it has power to it."

Orion blinks before frowning, "Um... yeah about that. What uh... what was with that power? The ship I was on before didnt have nearly that much power." He did his best to word his question properly and carefully.

Tai hums softly, "Ah yes that is because most, if not all, ships use the old combustible style fuel for power. Once you run out you run out and that kind of fuel is limited to how much space you have to hold it. However, special ships like the captains is able to house so much more per volume and it is cleaner and safer. You may have noticed the blue glow. thats the affect the power gives off when its overflowing. Its also why the Captain refers this ship as the Blue Phoenix."

Orion frowns, "Well I get the blue part of the name. but why phoenix? she could just call it the blue ship or anything else honestly."

Tai taps her little fingers together, "Ahh that would be because she wanted this ship to be the second chance that everyone gets. So far everyone on this ship has had their own little reborn moment."
she carefully looks at Ren, not wanting to give out too much information or mention anything involving the fact that its star power. If ren didnt mention to orion that they knew that the kid was a galakin she wanted to make sure it didnt come up. She would prefer that either the kid outs himself or ren has a proper talk with orion since it was pretty obvious that the basilisk was incredibly protective of the kid
