The occasional terrifying screeches that came from his throat as he fought against the constructs probably did not help their nervousness with him, and he keeps fighting even after he's slammed into a wall by one of the 'enemies'.

Even orion had to pause every now and then, trying to figure out if this was really.... training.... for ren.

Soon all the constructs have been defeated, and the basilisk turns the machine off, a few cuts on his body and places where the scales looked cracked. " that was harder than it ought to have been, i have been lax."

Orion had long finished his exercises and had watched rens workout with a raised eyebrow

Ren looks at Orion and blinks, " what?"

Orion puts the staff away, chuckling, "i was just considering if any of that was actually training for you. That looked vicious."

Ren blinks, " of course it is training. the fact that i was unable to defeat them without being injured is proof i need the practice."

[MissyLooni]

Orion sighs, "i suppose. I dont really like that you got injured either. Is there no other way for you to train that would result in no injuries?"

[Namari]

Ren blinks, " it is no issue, these will heal swiftly. If there is no real danger, then there is no reason for me to test myself and get stronger."

Orion frowns, "If you say so. I just hope you dont do anything reckless for my sake. I'd feel awful..."

" i swore i would see you to your destination, that i would protect you. i will do whatever i must to uphold that." he inclines his head, " it would be shameful if i stood aside and allowed you to be harmed when i was able to still fight."

Orion hums,  "yes but we're on a pretty nice ship with decent people. I don't think much fighting will happen. "

Ren shakes his head, " however if it does, i want to be ready. and if i let myself get complacence, i will not be able to fight when i need to."

Orion frowns, "then i'll do my utmost at making sure that wont be necessary. I'll start seriously fighting so i can protect myself."

Ren hesitates, " with all due respect, even if you trained from when you woke to when you went to sleep each day for the next month or two, you would not have a tenth the experience and training i do."
