Ren looks a bit guilty and his tail twitches, letting his hand drop, " from i conversation i guessed you may have come back here. i wanted to make sure you did not get overly hurt. you were upset, that is not the ideal emotional state for training."

Orion looks at the ground and sighs, "I am upset. I want to be able to fight and learn the hard way. Trial and error sort of thing. And I dont feel like you are taking me seriously."

Ren sighs, rubbing the back of his neck, " trial and error is dangerous...even though my planet is so dangerous we had someone to teach us. of course knowing the theory and putting it into practice when you're faced with death is very different."

orion pouts, "But this simulation is ideal for trial and error right now. Its not like it continuously beats you to a pulp. its not just that button that turns it off but also voice recognition will turn it off as well. I'm not in any danger with this machine. "

Ren blinks, " oh. i was not aware of that. i... was just concerned. apologies."

orion sighs and gets up, "Its... fine. Its not your fault..." he dusts himself off and looks up at ren, "im starting to understand the machines around here pretty well so its something i discovered on my own through trial and error."

Ren nods, " although remember that while these programs are advanced, machine can only move the way they are told to. sentient beings have infinity more creativity, and will behave unpredictably. it is best not to depend too much on a singular source for learning."

Orion huffs at ren, "no but they are helping me move faster and hopefully think faster insread of freezing up like before. "

Ren raises his hands in a defensive gesture, " im not saying don't use the program, im just saying don't rely on it totally."

Orion crosses his arms, "And i never said I was relying on it totally! I'm just using it to practice being a faster thinker for an actual person someday!!"

Ren sighs, " i was just... nevermind. im sorry i said anything." he turns away, tail curling around one of his feet.

Orion blinks and sighs, looking down. he.... hadnt meant to fight with ren.... this was so frustrating...."no... im sorry. im just...." he rubs his arm, "I just want you to have some faith in me. I constantly feel like im being treated like a kid and im not. I just..." orions ears lower and he backs up a bit, "Please.... let me learn some things the hard way. Otherwise i'll be useless once im on my own..."

Ren sighs, " i simply do not wish to see you go through what it takes to learn battle the hard way. it is... not pleasant. Even i had someone teaching me at first, to give me the foundations on which to build my skills."

Orion sighs, "yeah but... at least it probably didnt look nearly as ridiculous as you teaching me."

Ren thinks back on his own youth and snorts loudly, " uh yeah... sure. getting literally thrown across the room, and falling face first into traps is definitely less ridiculous..."
