She blinks before smiling, "Ah i see! Yes that can be arranged easily. Do you know how big it needs to be?"

Orion watches her a little before frowning, "excuse me miss, but are you blind? or like, almost blind? how can you make stuff if you can barely see?"

"oh um- i- i guess i have just so long being blind that I have developed my own ways to know whats around me i guess."

"Were you born with terrible vision or did something happen to you?"

"Um...well... I was given this injury. when i was a child."

Ren gently reaches out to take her hands and holds them apart, " about this large? if it could be lined with a soft material that would be great, something with some fluff to it so that two large rocks can be nestled into it."

Xxaliat blinks as she feels rens hands, "ah. Roughly 24 by 12 parsecs." She gently moves her hands out of his and it's her turn to touch his fingers and hands.
The tips of her fingers trail gingerly across his scales and she smiles before pulling away, "ah. A basilisk... mm I can definitely make that for you and your friend. "

Ren lets her take his hands and feel them, " yes. that is appreciated. If there is anything i can do to repay you, simply let me know."

She shakes her head, "its not often people come to me for anything so the feeling of being needed is payment enough for me."

Orion blinks and tilts his head

" very well. it is not a limited offer, i think i will be with this ship awhile, so if you need anything i am able to provide, even if it is simply hauling something heavy, you can ask for me. I am Renshajoh."

Xxaliat smiles and nods, "I will keep that in mind. Thank you Renshajoh. I will find you when it is finished, and i wish your companion and yourself a nice evening."

" and a pleasant evening to you as well." he steps back away from her and nods to Orion, " well, that was easier than expected."

Orion walks out of ear shot and frowns, "Ren, how did she know you were a basilisk if she's blind?"

Ren shrugs, " i am not certain, she felt my scales, though there are many reptilian species. perhaps being blind for a long time she is able to feel subtle differences?"

"Isn't it inconvenient to be blind though? Can't she fixed that? And she looked like a tree. I didn't know there were people who could look like trees.  And how can she make a box if she's blind?!"

" some injuries cannot be fixed, or even if they can, she prefers it that way. there are many, many different types of sentient beings out there, some you cannot imagine. I have learned there are those who can do extraordinary things, beyond my comprehension, and if she claims she can do so, then i will take her at her word. if you wish to go back and ask questions of her you may."

Orion frowns and looks down, "N-no i wont ask her anymore questions. She seemed uncomfortable already by my questions. i dont want to upset her. I guess.... i guess i just dont understand much about blind. I could tell it related to her not seeing but i have never heard of such a thing before."

Ren blinks, " yes, to be blind means one is unable to see. sometimes people can still see light, but generally it's good to assume the other cannot see at all. I have heard when you lose one sense, your others become sharper to compensate. she can probably tell a lot more than we can by touch, and perhaps even by scent."
