orion goes back to his book, "i wish my parents had more time. They gave me as much info as they could but if anything it just leads to more questions for me."

Ren frowns, " perhaps you could give them more energy? what they had was what they had saved, but you're able to generate more energy or pull from other sources right?"

Orion blinks and looks at ren for a hot minute before he looks down, "i.... could, couldnt I..." he gently bops himself on the forehead, "Holy crud why didnt I think of that!! I absolutely could! I mean, they cant need THAT much energy. I was able to hold back an entire big bang so of course i have enough energy for them." he smiles and sets the book down, reaching over and grabbing the cold sharp rocks that were his parents.

Ren chuckles, " i mean im not sure if that's a thing that's possible, but it seems logical. worth a try anyway."

Orion nods, "Yeah, and I have been feeling rather over charged since we left sector 2 so im sure i have plenty to try it out, but just in case i might wait until we are off this ship before i start moving energy around."

Ren nods, " that sounds like a good idea. if you are feeling over charged perhaps we ought to do some training to burn some energy? or you could try putting some energy into the ship i suppose."

orion hums, "i should probably get permission to start messing with the ships power before i do anything like that. that Taro guy seems to be a grouchy guy if you mess with the ship. i am not sure bout the training room... i could try. maybe next time they land on a planet i could take a walk and find somewhere secluded? see if i cant output some energy where no one else is just until i get used to what i can all do."

Ren nods, " makes sense. i dislike the idea of you being uncomfortable but i suppose nothing to be done for it presently."

Orion looks down at his hands and sighs, "I'm just worried if anything. These people seem to be really nice so i dont want to do anything that might mess up where they live."

Ren nods, " understandable. it's a reasonable concern."

Orion looks back at his book and flips through the pages, "maybe the book will say anything about how we use our energy safely. Do you know any kind of people who live long? like, really long?"

Ren frowns and flicks his tail as he thinks, " well, the tree woman we asked for the box maybe. im afraid my people are not so well traveled as many others, i am not the one to ask such things."

Orion gives a hesitant nod before looking back at his book, "I... see. maybe this is something I should ask the captain about. she is just so intimidating despite the fact that she has been nothing but kind to us."

Ren raises an eyebrow, " she is, but most would say i am also intimidating, and yet you do not fear me."

Orion blinks and looks at ren, his eyes moving up and down the basilisks body before shrugging, "you are tall and you have muscles but its different. You have been very protective of me and informal. Ina is very... formal. Her posture is constantly of that of authority and i... I think because of the fact that i was always around Colligan and he had the same air around him its kind of... i wouldnt say triggering because its not like i go into a weird panic mode every time i see her but im certainly on edge. I watch what I say and how I might be perceived around her just like i would if i was back home."
