Sato shrugs, " i figure you didn;t plan for the kind of traveling route im taking us on. if im leading, it's only right i make sure everyone is taken care of."

Aki huffs and munches on the bar, still grumbling half heartedly not actually meaning it but having nothing better to do

Sato snorts in amusement and pets Flygon to keep him calm and make him rest instead of zooming off like the pokemon wanted to, still being full of energy. After about half an hour he looks over, " you ready to keep going?"

Aki looks up from feeding pidgeot and he stands up,  petting her,  "you feeling alright girl? "

Pidgeot finishes eating and chirps loudly, flapping her wings and getting ready.

Aki quickly puts his hand on her neck,  "ah please keep your chirps down."

Sato nods and looks at Flygon, who shoves his head between Satos legs to get him onto his back faster, causing the other to yelp and scold him, " hey now come on!" Flygon trills and leaps into the air.

Sato shakes his head, " sorry about that! he's...excitable." he pets the flygons neck as he barely is able to keep the pokemon from darting ahead, wanting to fly all out.

Sato chuckles, " poor gal, i can;t imagine not being able to go all out if you want to. she's lucky she has you."

Satoshi raises an eyebrow, " doesn;t take long to see you care deeply about your pokemon, even ones that are less than perfect. most trainers would release those pokemon, or sell them to a breeder, or whatever. they wouldn;t keep a less than perfect pokemon to train."

Aki huffs, "we dont give up on humans who have disabilities, so i dont understand why we would give up on pokemon. Its not fair."

Pidgeot chirps loudly and happily, knowing she has a permanent home and family

Satoshi shakes his head, " well i can see it from both sides. trainers who are competitive need to have their pokemon in peak condition. disabilities give the opponent an advantage. and it's not like giving a disabled pokemon to someone who can use it another way is bad. a breeder can use a pokemon with an injury, that won;t pass down onto offspring. and pokemon can like in the wild usually even disabled. there's lots of ways a pokemon can still live a good life. we keep a wartortle at the farm with a really wonked out shell. he'd have issues as a fighting pokemon or in the wild, but he helps us keep all our plants and pokemon watered and he's great backup in case of a fire."
