Topic: The long road, a pokemon journey (Namari x missylooni)

[MissyLooni]

Aki comes back, holding an unraveled raichu, "got him to unball."

Raichu looks frazzled and that it might look like he'll start crying but otherwise is overall fine, "raaaiiiiii....."

Paige looks up and jumps up, "raichu!"

Satoshi smiles, " told you he was good with pokemon."

[MissyLooni]

Raichu tries to curl up again but can't with the way aki is holding him.

Aki looks at Satoshi, "we're going to stick in this town for a few days. Thankfully it's not humans doing this, just some really awful and bored ghost pokemon who are getting a kick out of terrorizing closely bonded pokemon."

[Namari]

Satoshi frowns, " well it's not humans at least. hey buddy, don't worry. well, hopefully we can give those ghost pokemon a lesson."

[MissyLooni]

Aki sighs and looks at Paige,  "I think it's best if you went back home for a while. Give your little adventure a break for a bit and  keep raichu somewhere that might feel safe. You're still in the town that he was attacked in, trying to find some answers even though being here is freaking him out."

Paige's eyes water,  "but... I  don't want my family to see that I failed being a trainer... I tried really hard..."

Aki goes down on one knee so he can look at Paige at her level, moving raichu so that the pokemon is under his arm,  "what happened to your pokemon doesn't make you a bad trainer. You even tried to get him help. But he clearly wants to go home and I think it would be in the best interest of both of you to take five steps back together and try again when you're both feeling better."

Paige sniffles softly and she looks at raichu, "do... you actually want to go home? "

Raichu looks at Paige, and nods and starts crying, "rai! Rai raichu rai rai. Raichuuhh rai..."

Aki holds raichu out for Paige to take, " 'I want my mom and dad, and I want to sleep on your bed and I don't want to have anymore nightmares.' Is what raichu said."

Paige takes raichu and hugs him tightly, "o-okay.... we'll go home... I'm so sorry Raichu..." she gingerly hands aki and satoshi back their pokeballs

Satoshi puts his pokeball away once he gets it, " well see? he just wants to feel safe." he smiles, " nobody is going to think you're a failure for taking a break after something so traumatic."

[MissyLooni]

Paige nods and keeps hugging raichu, "thank you. Both of you... you boys aren't so weird after all...." she turns around and pulls out a pokeball, letting a ninetails out and climbing on to its back, "ninetails. We're going home. Okay?"

The ninetails nods and sprints out of town

Satoshi chuckles, " oh im not so sure about that, but im glad we could help."

[MissyLooni]

Aki watches Paige leave before looking at satoshi, "this whole town is surrounded by bored ghost pokemon who seem to target pokemon that are closely bonded with their trainers. Bonded enough that they are usually just out of their ball. I wouldn't be surprised if these ghost pokemon are jealous or something."

[Namari]

Satoshi hums softly, " interesting. how do you propose we deal with them?"

[MissyLooni]

"We pick our most closely bonded pokemon to have out, stick around for a few days to make ourselves a target and then pretend to sleep at night. When our pokemon are taken we follow to figure out where these ghost pokemon are. I can try to talk to them and figure out why they are doing this, and if that doesn't work then I guess we just kick their ass."

[Namari]

Satoshi hums, " well i guess that's rapidash for me. sounds like as good a plan as any."

[MissyLooni]

Aki nods,  "lucario for me. Do you think we would be a more tempting targets if we were in separate rooms or no?"

[Namari]

Satoshi sighs, " probably, though i'll be honest i'd really rather not do that."

[MissyLooni]

takana hums, "Well.... lets stay in the same room for now and see what happens. a part of me thinks whatever crept up to our window last night could have been one of the pokemon scouting out new victims. he could have just had a sheet on it while it was floating to make it appear tall..."
