Ra screams when he's bit but it only lasts a second, a sharp fang quickly piercing into his heart and instantly killing him

Joker flinches seeing the carnage and he hesitantly drops his barrier. He sniffles and wipes his face, shaking. He had been doing his best to protect those in the room for almost an hour and he was terrified and exhausted.

Curtis goes over to Joker, "Hey you alright? Is everyone okay?"

Joker sniffles, "i- I dont know. I- I think the humans.... and Rin are okay but... m-my brother.... he... He got hit first t-to buy us some time and i- my cards wouldnt... they wouldnt pull up The Star for healing... they pulled up the Death card but... we were already changing... we already took over for my parents i dont understand."

Curtis, not knowing tarot, has no clue what the hell Joker is talking about, "Um.... o-okay?"

Arakan drops the corpse and walks over, sniffing Rin and the others, the elder brother was either dead or very close to it. " we have to go before they call the timer, i wish i could help but i am no healer. If anyone asks, i was not here, understand?" He looks at Rin for a long moment before deciding she would live, grabbing Curtis again. " we must hurry back."

Joker looks at Arakan and nods, "t-thank you. I- I am so sorry.... I can get the humans awake after you leave and make sure they contact HQ."

Curtis lets himself be grabbed, "What a mess..."

Arakan sighs softly, " good. If you need advice, contact us through Rin. You are going to have to lead, show no weakness." He leaps down from the building and runs until they're near the gate, staying out of sight as he dumps Curtis roughly and shifts back, brushing himself off and wiping any blood from his mouth. The storm abates since the fires are out and his boost of power fades. " Well, that went about as well as can be expected."

Curtis sighs, "well i lived so it went better than i thought it would. Straighten your hat a little." he heads to the gate.

Most of the men have left including the tanks and helicopters. The call to HQ must have gone through already

Charles is by the main gate looking pissed and disappointed

Arakan adjusts his hat and keeps his head down, covering his face as he follows behind Curtis.

Curtis grabs some cool soot on the ground and rubs it on his face to make it look like he didnt just get in and out that easily before going up to charles, "hey so we went in and it looks like they had everything handled before we even got there. Did you get anything from HQ?"

Charles growls softly, "Yeah yeah we got confirmation that the guys in there were fine and we're going to be escorted out. Must have been one hell of a fight though for that bastard leader to be dead. Heard the freak was only leader for a month. Must have been weak. no wonder they got attacked."

Curtis bites his tongue, wishing he could beat the crap out of Charles before sighing, "Man what a waste of resources." He steps out of the district and looks at Charles, "You want me to come back for the translator when they come back or do you think you can handle it?"

Charles snorts softly, "Yeah why dont you come get her. I'm already way past my shift."

Curtis holds back the urge to shout that it was technically his day off but he just gives a nod. He has no clue how well Rin will be so he would feel better escorting her back into the 4th district, "Sounds good. I'll have my radio on."

Arakan walks into his own district and relaxes a little, heading for Curtis's usual gate to get his collar back on.

Curtis sighs and goes over to arakan, "Well, i sure as shit feel like i need a smoke now." he gently puts arakans collar back on, making sure its... as comfortable as it can be, "Thank you. For your help back there. Ah shit i shouldnt say help, i really didnt do anything. You did everything."

[Namari]

Arakan snorts, " what you did was something only you could do, even if i did all the fighting." he reaches up to finger the collar for a moment before dropping his hand. " i'd better go tell my father they can lift the lockdown and make sure Takana isn't freaking out."

Curtis nods, "I have no clue what condition Rin will be when she comes out but im sure she'll be able to send a message for someone to inform your parents as well."

Arakan nods, " as long as she's alive we can heal most other things with time. you did a brave thing today." he heads back home, telling his father that the situation has been handled and that Rin is alive, His mother scolding him for being so reckless. He then heads back to Takana's apartment and knocks before entering at the speakers announce the end of the lockdown and that shops and businesses will be closed for the remainder of the day.

Takana visibly relaxes when he sees that arakan is okay, "How could you do something so reckless! I wanna yell at you so bad but I cant do it in front of everyone so im gonna have to drag you to my room and yell at you." he takes arakan's hand, "Please let me yell at you in my room."

Rin does manage to contact her family and nikiri quickly leaves to wait for her at the gate.

Her kimono is ruined although that can be replaced. A little over half of her face is scarred from ravaging burns and she cant open her right eye from the wounds. There are probably more wounds on her body but just cant be seen thanks to the clothing.
She is shaking, possibly from shock and pain and Nikiri gently leads her back to arakan's mother in hopes of getting her fixed up or at the very least no longer in pain

Arakan raises an eyebrow, " oh? has our little gatekeeper tattled on me?" he lets himself be pulled into the room.

Yori blinks, " wait, what happened?"

Indigo shrugs, " i am no more in the loop than you are."

Takana closes the door behind them so they have privacy, his face bright red, "in all honesty? No one said anything. I figured you did something but I have no idea what. But I don't want to yell at you obviously. I was worried, and you're back so I want to kiss you but I know it has to be... private. So kiss me already."
