Izanagi tilts his head, " what's that cord thingy for?" he reaches in and pokes at the ears.

Nikiri gently pulls the ears out, "the cord connects to the back of the neck where the spinal cord starts at the skull. It uses that feedback to tell the ears how to move." He pulls out a ring from the box as well, "the ears wont come off from simple tugging and require this ring to be close by to act as a frequency jammer in order to release itself from the user. "

Takana pales a bit, frowning, "that sounds.... painful. And dangerous..."

Izanagi looks at Takana, " less dangerous than in Arakan figures out you're human. he's not had good experiences with them, to say he dislikes them would be one hell of an understatement. And with how snotty you've been to him? he'd probably take great pleasure in killing you."

[MissyLooni]

Takana huffs, "Well I dont like being ordered around. Even when I wanted mcdonalds at a weird hour I would at least ask my driver to grab it. He could always say no and I wouldnt be offended."

Nikiri sighs, "I think the fact that you came from a wealthy home is whats going to make this the hardest obstacle. An average human is used to others telling them what to do as well but when you've been at the very top of the chain in both race and class seeing things from a different set of rules is almost impossible."

Izanagi sighs, " and he gave all that up just because he didn;t want to get married to some chick. what i wouldn;t do to trade places. heck i'd bone a girl if it meant living the good life."

Takana's face turns red, "its not- my step mother wanted kids! I cant- i... i cant do the kid thing. " he looks nervous before quickly going back to the kitchen to finish cutting vegetables, his hands shaking

Izanagi rolls his eyes, " And now you're living in the demon district. there's a different set of rules here, and you're not even trying to follow them. what's that human saying, 'when in rome, do as romans do?' if you want to fit in in a new place, you need to adapt to the local customs, they're not going to change the way they do things just for spoiled ol you. you wanted to live here among us, and if you want to do that, you'll have to get used to how we do things."

Takana doesnt respond, he had zoned himself out to not handle the thought of having kids

Nikiri glances over before raising an eyebrow and looking at izanagi, "Well at the very least you know if you want him to shut up you just need to mention him having kids. I wonder what the heck made him so child adverse that it damn near becomes a trigger for him."

Izanagi pouts, " i don;t like being ignored..." he grabs a cup of water and flings it on Takana, " hey! we're talking here!"

Takana flinches and huffs, looking at izanagi, "what on earth are you doing?! I keep getting in trouble for opening my mouth but the one time i'm quiet you throw water at me?!"

Izanagi crosses his arms, " because you're avoiding the issues instead of trying to work through them! i said something really smart and you totally ignored me..."

Takana pouts, "So water? instead of some other means? like just touching my shoulder?"

Izanagi snorts, " like i wanna get punched or something if you lashed out?"

Takana huffs, "I dont hit people. Do my noodle arms even look like they could punch anything?"

Izanagi snorts, " like i could know that? and assuming anything is dumb, like i assumed you were smart enough not to antagonize one of the strongest demons in the district and you proved me sooooo wrong on that one."
