Arakan chuckles, " you can't be worse than Nikiri anyway, some of the garbage he sends me..." he shakes his head, " i swear the mans sole goal in life is to annoy me sometimes." he steps into the same intimidating house as before, turning and heading down one hallway. He stops partway down in front of an archway leading into a large room with bookshelves, his mother standing in front of one with a book in her hands, " these are the archives. there's everything from our histories from before the war, to recordings of what happened during and after. there's also histories of the different communities and how they lived before, as well as just about everything we know. medicinal herbs, what properties different distinct demon species have, most htings are here. not everything, some was lost during the war, and some species keep their own abilities a close secret, but it's all we've got. please be careful, some of these books are old and can;t really be replaced." he turns and walks a little further down, turning a hall and stopping in front of a door which he opens, " here's a spare room, you can make yourself comfortable here. there's a bathroom in the room. the next room is mine, i ask you not go in there."

takana nods, "Understood. growing up i always had a rule of never going into bedrooms that weren't your own so this works just fine. I appreciate you letting me check out the archive though. have you ever considered.... fixing the books? i know you cant replace them but have someone who is able to re-write the knowledge into a new book? That way you could at least preserve the original books for history sake but have newer, nicer versions for browsing without worry."

Arakan nods, " it's been considered, and done for some. mostly those with information, like herbs. It's difficult to find someone trustworthy enough to give that job to, and who actually wants it. it's important to do it properly, and also very tedious. rarely does anyone desire to do so, and it takes a long time."

[MissyLooni]

takana nods, "Its understandable. well, i do hope you can find someone to do it who is trustworthy enough before those books are too far gone."

Arakan nods and sighs softly, " not that it'll make much difference if the books are here if the war starts again. i think i can speak for all our kind when i say i doubt we'll surrender this time. it'll either be victory or death."

[MissyLooni]

Takana bristles a little at that thought before hesitantly looking up at arakan, "another war isnt going to happen. it cant. if we can slowly warm the humans up to us then maybe we can avoid that. ....hopefully. and isabelle being here is the first step."

[Namari]

Arakan nods, " that is the hope. But it's not something we can count on. i will do all i can to prevent a war, but if it must happen... i will not show mercy. i will take as many humans down with me as i can."

[MissyLooni]

Takana's ears go back and a wave of nausea hits him at the thought of arakan killing his friends, yori, isabelle or even him. he pales slightly before muttering that he wants to go to his room now, silently walking into the spare room.

Arakan sighs, well that wasn't the best thing to say, but it was true. he'd fight as long as he could force his body to move. He shakes his head and leaves, going to deal with demons with issues that need taking care of.

Takana settles on his bed and considers what he needs to get done. He had to avoid another war at all costs, to avoid his friends meeting their end

Arakan's mother waits until her son is long gone before going to the room, having overheard most of the conversation. She knocks, " you alright in there?"

takana jumps slightly and looks at arakan's mother. his ears droop and he clears his throat a little, "Im fine, thank you. Um, how are you?"

[Namari]

She smiles slightly, " im just fine. i overheard your conversion, im sure you're feeling a bit conflicted at the moment."

[MissyLooni]

takana looks down and sighs, "ah. yeah i... yeah.... I dont want my friends, or the few family members i like, to get hurt in a war. Nor do i want anyone here to be hurt."

[Namari]

She nods, " then you have a war to prevent then, don't you? we can't do much from here, the humans won't listen. but you...may be able to make a difference. He also desires those he cares about to be safe, so he will fight with every fiber of his being to protect them. even if protecting them means bending his pride and treating with the humans. you two spoke with one today did you not? that took a great deal for him to do with what he's had to endure from them over his life." she studies him carefully.
