Arakan shrugs, " as you said, he's a shallow man. your association with Izanagi may have made him think you are similar in preferences to him. it's impossible to know."

takana shudders, "Well now he's acting like a spoiled child, wanting everything that the other kids have. its gross..." he sighs and goes to some more files, showing different demons that are all from the 7th district and what they specialize in and what district they had been assigned to and which demon they were supposed to take. Several demons on this list say deceased after their name, including the two demons that infiltrated arakans district whom were assigned Mina and Izanagi.
Takana blinks and frowns, "so... the guy that took Nikiri down came after us for izanagi?"

[Namari]

Arakan nods, " presumably so. im glad i had you two under watch, otherwise Izanagi might have gotten taken then."

[MissyLooni]

takana sighs, "Then im even more thankful for nikiri for keeping us safe and buying time."

[Namari]

Arakan nods, " though had i not been so foolish as to have him as the guard, and had someone of higher rank do so, it may have been better. That was my mistake, his injuries were my fault." he sighs, " continue on."

Takana sighs,  "I don't think his injuries are your fault, and I doubt nikiri thinks so either. I mean, you could even talk to him about it. I know he can be annoying as fuck towards you but I'm sure a serious question will get you a serious answer..."
He continues through the files for arakan

Arakan snorts, " it was my call to leave him as your guard when i knew there were dangerous demons around. therefore it's my fault. as a leader, i need to do better."

[MissyLooni]

Takana sighs and shakes his head, "if that's what you think then I won't stop you."

[Namari]

Arakan sighs, " this isn't worth fighting over. start playing the recordings."

[MissyLooni]

Takana nods and opens up the folder that has the recordings.

there werent many, but takana wasnt surprised considering it was probably hard to record anything without being caught.

Arakan glances over them, " start the first one."

[MissyLooni]

takana nods and opens the recording file, almost immediately you can hear a man and a woman talking to each other, who they are Takana wouldnt know.

Mirai sounds bored in the recording, "Darling, what are we going to do about son?"

Hontou groans softly, "which one?"

"Wha- the only son we have. Our beloved Koshi."

"The other parasite is still technically alive you know"

"how he is still alive I have no clue. Now, what are we going to do about Koshi? You and I have been in charge for too long and it is making our citizens restless. Its bad enough we have a second child to cause our own district to question my legitimacy as your wife and now Koshi is 31. You killed your parents at the age of 22 when you and I became mates and your mother was 20 when she killed her parents"

"I had no idea you were so eager to die. Besides us having a second child would be your problem."

"wha- I- HONTOU!!! Thats not a nice thing to say to your beloved wife!! I just want to follow traditions! I knew this was inevitable when you and I became a couple!"

"Mirai, darling, it will be fine. Koshi is doing his best to find a suitable mate on his own and we should just leave him be."

"Leave him be? Hontou, he sent his friends out to different districts. we're going to catch heat when the other leaders find out about this"

"If anyone shows up making claims about that then we'll just feign ignorance, threaten them to leave, and then inform Chi that a high ranking demon passed boundaries to harass us and Chi will make sure the humans give that district a hard time for a few years."

"sometimes I think you rely on Chi way too much. makes a girl feel a little jealous, ya know?"

"you're the only one breaking traditions, dear."

"I- SHUT IT YOU ASS."


The recording stops.

[Namari]

Arakan nods, " that's what i needed to hear. Chi... i wonder who that is. i will ask Shiro. you may go, i have things to think about...."

[MissyLooni]

Takana blinks and looks at arakan,  "you're not at all curious about the other few recordings? "

[Namari]

Arakan chuckles softly, " well i suppose so. go ahead then."
