[Namari]

Arakan looks at Takana leaving and sighs, running a hand through his hair before growling and walking closer, " Curtis! If you can still hear me i need a moment to speak with you!"

[MissyLooni]

Curtis pauses briefly when he hears arakan and he gives a soft sigh before stepping back out and going over to the gate, "better hurry before the shift change. Don't want the next head guard seeing me talk with you."

[Namari]

Arakan nods, " yeah. i... i should not be so harsh on you. you have been far better than the rest of the guards. and for the things you have done to help, i am grateful. you've been complicit in many deaths, but you also prevented many. so take that as it is." 

[MissyLooni]

Curtis blinks before frowning softly, "i.. will continue to do what I can to help with what I can and... for what it's worth.... 28. I... may not have known their names but I do remember and it does effect me and... I am sorry. You have every right to call me a murderer and hate me just please don't let takana get between this. He means well but you can never predict how he'll react to anything."

[Namari]

Arakan blinks at hearing the number and nods, " things are changing quickly, hopefully for the better in the long run. it's... not easy to change my own feelings so swiftly, there are many, many years of my experiences that fight against it. Speaking of him, i'd better catch up before he gets himself into trouble." he turns, starting to go.

[MissyLooni]

Curtis watches him leave, sighing softly before going back to his station and packing up.

Takana is grumbling loudly, putting things in his retrieved cart, his ears twitching incessantly

[Namari]

Arakan heads back to the store, seeing Takana and going over, " hey. i um, i spoke to Curtis after you left."

[MissyLooni]

Takana pauses a little as he hears arakan,  sighing softly, "...okay?" He had to keep his cool. He was in public still...

[Namari]

Arakan sighs softly, " I more or less apologized. He is not the sole person who I have watched murder my people my entire life. It's not easy for me to make that distinction."

[MissyLooni]

Takana blinks, his ears stop twitching and he looks at arakan, "...What? Really?"

[Namari]

Arakan nods, " yes... he has indeed been useful and undoubtedly saved lives during the last inspection. not to mention he did help stop Izanagis execution when you stepped in and buy me time to get the collar fixed."

[MissyLooni]

takana gives a soft nod before looking down and sighing, "Im sorry...i didnt mean to start this whole thing. If its easier for everyone i can leave."

[Namari]

" not happening. you may have started it, but you have also pushed it in a good direction. i may not like bending my pride, but i also have no desire to lose our best ally."

[MissyLooni]

Takana looks up at arakan, "so... you're not mad at me?"

He shakes his head, " no, i am not mad at you."
