Nikiri nods, "of course! I would be more than happy to."

Arakan nods, " alright." he checks his phone and grimaces, " i've got some things to deal with. the opening of the district is approaching rapidly and i feel woefully unprepared despite everything."

[MissyLooni]

Nikiri also grimaces, "I'm so happy I'm not you right now. Well good luck."

[Namari]

Arakan gives him a wry look, " jee, thanks. im going to need it." he shakes his head and gets up, heading to meet with the demons he plans to pair with the human guards, and have them meet with the humans that will be guards before the district opens so they can be somewhat associated with each other.

Davie is definitely the friendliest guard there.

The other guards,  while being kind, are not nearly as hyper as Davie

Indigo and Kaiten are both there among others, trying to seem u threatening and approachable. Indigo smiles, " oh, I can't do anything too crazy, I was selected because my abilities are more defensive than offensive. I can disable troublemakers without long term harm."

The guards do settle a little, not because of indigo's assurance but rather Davie's... intrusive and intimate behavior that isn't getting him killed.
They figure as long as they act more professional than him odds were good that they'd be fine

Davie gasps softly as he gets close to indigo, "your hair! It's amazing! You must have an amazing diet right now! How are you getting your metals?"

Indigo blinks, surprised that a human would know about that particular quirk. " Ah, the lovely miss Isabelle Kuroshiba saw the sad state i was in a few months ago and took pity on my family and i and have supplied us with an honestly embarassing amount of minerals and metals. But i've been trying to use the refined feathers and gems that we've been producing to purchase rough gem scraps and scrap metal to refine so that we can pay her back eventually. For those of you who aren;t as knowledgeable, I am an Alicanto, and part of my diet includes metals and minerals of various sorts. our bodies process and separate these minerals, and the byproduct is produced in our hair, typically metals form into metallic feathers, " he lifts a silver feather to tilt it and let the light catch it, " and minerals form new and nearly always perfect gems with no flaws as drops." he parts his hair a bit to reveal a few hanging drops of various colors. " in the old days often new mines were found by hiring an Alicano to sniff out veins of metals and minerals, as i can smell them quite clearly and distinctly. i can smell the gold on the chips in your phones, and if im not mistaken, the silver plating on your pocketwatch." he nods to one of the men.

Davie licks his lips a little, "you're a handsome alicanto that's for sure. Although I'm not sure why she would help out so much when there is nothing here for her. Just really shows how on the rocks her relationship is with her husband." He snorts softly and looks away, crossing his arms

Indigo looks sharply at Davie, " she's a wonderful and generous woman, who's seen how we've been treated and has already made improvements to our lives. Without her help, opening the district would not be possible. Moving on...Kaiten?"

Kaiten waves, " I'm a chimera, basically any blended demon is considered such, including the heir to our district, Arakan." Arakan nods, " but in some cases groups of demons lived close enough and were friendly enough with each other that crossing was fairly frequent. In such cases chimera groups with similar features popped up, and you get chimeras like me where my family and I have been a distinct variety of chimera for generations. I'm the strongest among the ones chosen here, so that means if Arakan isn't around, I'm in command if shit hits the fan. So despite that my strength can be lethal to humans, I will only use my full strength to defend from any possible skirmishes with demons."

Indigo looks to Arakan who nods again. Indigo clears his throat, "so, we are the demons you'll be working with, we will be working closely together to ensure no harm comes to anyone, demons and humans alike. So please feel comfortable asking any questions you may have."

davie blinks, obviously taken aback by a demon praising a human, especially a member of the kuroshiba family

Several of the demons split off to try and chat with different guards, building a rapport.

Indigo steps off to talk with Davie, " so, Arakan has told me i'll be teamed with you. So, you seem oddly excited to be here, though admittedly it's nice to not have a gun shoved in my face."

Davie nods, "uh yeah I had a much different upbringing than most. Do you... like Isabelle? I never met a demon that liked the kuroshiba's so that threw me off guard."

[Namari]

Indigo smiles, " she has done a great deal for our district already, and for my family, despite having no obligation to do so. i owe her a great deal. She's a truly kind hearted human, and i feel honored to know her."

Davie raises an eyebrow, "riiight.... sounds like you like like her. Does that mean any forms of flirting won't work on you? I'd rather know now then try and get nowhere."
