Thunder and Mischief (Tachi & Silver_Lady)
« on: July 22, 2022, 15:04:55 pm »

It'd been a long three years that Loki had remained in this dull prison cell. Little privacy to be had save for what he created himself in his illusions. These simple creatures down here couldn't tell what was magic if it flayed them alive. Mother ordered the guards to bring him books but save for her astral visits he'd had only his own company to keep. Better than most. It'd allowed him the time to think and reflect, which he supposed was what it was supposed to do, only he didn't feel overwhelming guilt and regret like Odin might've wanted. There was a great torrid of feelings there beneath the surface, but unwarranted complexes about what'd occurred on Midguard and Johtunheim weren't a part of them.

Leaning his head back against the wall, he sat on his bed, legs crossed before him. Years ago, before all this happened, he recalled what it was like to live in Thor's shadow. Second to his omega brother whom always took the spotlight: the warrior who was to be king. Arrogant and pig headed, vain and rash. Loki could see the disaster it was headed towards. That wasn't all there was to him but Thor refused to even think of his role as an omega or anything outside of the battle ready warrior he'd chosen to be. I'd come back to bite him, and it had.

Things hadn't completely gone to plan after he'd found out his heritage, but who could blame him? Thor... Well, Thor had always had the most comforting scent to him. Alluring. Addicting. Instinct told him that his brother would be the perfect mate despite their blood relations. They were close, once. Perhaps too close, until Thor started putting an end to their 'moments'. For a brief time he'd thought that perhaps...after he'd learned the truth that there might be a chance, but Thor had rejected him then as well.

He had destroyed the threat that was the Frost Giants, his own people, and yet he still was not worthy. Where he'd ended up after that made it feel like the universe was trying to engrave that lesson into him, if he believed in such a thing as universal grudges. Those were times that Loki didn't like to think about. Being under the influence of the staff had been a relief, even if he hadn't been in control.

In those three years since being captured and returned to Asguard, his brother had not visited him. Not even once. Freya proclaimed that he asked after him. Something about their father forbidding it. Loki didn't know if it was true or what he should believe in regards to Thor. Their relationship was strained, to say the least. They weren't really brothers. They weren't really anything.

His sentencing was coming up, finally. Odin would put on his theatrics and he'd finally get to learn what'd happen to him. How wonderful. It only took him three years to bother.

I would rather die a good man than die a great king
Thor " God of Thunder"

It had been a long journey to get to this point in time, since Loki's crimes were far greater than to just sweep them under the rug. His life had never been complicated as it was now. He had to some how get Loki of his radar and some how repay the damage of the debt to the society of Loki's behalf. Thinking wasn't his strongest point that was Loki's.  He was simply the brawns and the muscle behind most operation. Thinking what tools of the trade he had to offer his father to allow him to have Loki back.

The question was, did Loki wanted to come back with him? did the time in prison unsettle his heart and break the ties they had as brothers. Well that was just the thing they weren't brothers any more, they were just Gods. They hadn't had a reason to be in each other's prescience and some how that got to him more. Rejecting Loki wasn't the easiest thing to do. He didn't want to, but he had to. The next few unforeseeable years he would be king and that's when his freedom would be cut-off protecting the nine realms. He wouldn't have the freedom he had now. He had no way of knowing when that limited time he had left was.

What made it worse that Loki wasn't just enough for him he was everything and that scared him even more. Loki had enough credentials about him that made him a perfect Alpha. He could see a future with Loki if it wasn't for the stained relationship that he had now. For now, Odin had specifically ordered him not to go to the prison that held him. Of course he was granted Books that would keep his mind occupied but the conversation would be thin and would only have his memories, thoughts, and probably his hatred for Thor and to Odin for putting him in this position in the first place even if it was Loki's own doing.

Thor wasn't the person that could comfort another,  he had been reckless before head first before thinking about the consequences. He wasn't subtle to say the least. His own actions had brought a thorn to Odin's side on more than one occasion. Thor had to make him see sense, get him on the same wavelength it wasn't his strongest suit but it was the only trump card he had left to ask for Odin for this.

Only time would tell after he spoken to the crow's he was now awaiting to see his father.  His father wouldn't be happy being within the chamber of his father's the two men stood. Of course Odin had a fair idea of what was what Thor wanted to do. "Let me guess, it's about Loki?" He asked finally turning around to meet his son's in the eyes.

Thor sighed mentally trying to think his words before hand and nodded to the question. "I know we've talked about this numerous of times but hear me out Father." Oidn's body language didn't change only his head tilted as if he was listening for his son to about it. There were no reason why Thor was trying to protect Loki now so what was it? maybe his brain didn't catch up to the fact that they weren't brothers anymore.

In all honesty Thor didn't know why he bothered now, but something deep with him in told him he needed to do this. "Let Loki come back with me father, and I will personally watch him."

"Watch him? he's the God of mischief he's not that for nothing you know you know how he will manipulate you and slip out from out of it."

"But we will be tethered by a bracelet by magic that will only allow us to be 3M apart I know that is something you can do Father. I will take anything that he does as further punishment and I will even stand in before him or go with him to the very same punishment that you originally had for him."  Odin was mulling over Thor's thoughts into consideration.

"I will however give in father, if you do this for me I will become a fully fledged Omega. You can pick 3 suitors of your choosing and I will meet up with each one to find a match. The only thing that I ask that none of this get's spoken to  Loki about it this is between us he doesn't need to know the full contract of our agreement."  Thor didn't want Loki to realise that he was given into his father's demands it wasn't exactly a secret that Thor wasn't happy about being an omega he had often made remarks.

"I can't make no promises son but I will think about it."

It was unknown how long he had waited before the chorus of boots came marching down the stairs. Several guards along with the clinking of chains. With his eyes still closed, he tilted his head slightly and determined that no one was wearing them; they were being carried and therefore must be meant for him. How thoughtful. Just as he predicted, the footsteps turned and curved towards his cell, two of them hanging back and four of them stepping forward. Six guards. He was beginning to feel insulted.

"Loki Odinson."

Where they expecting someone else? "Yes?" Loki replied, finally opening his green eyes and raising a haughty brow, not making it easy for them. When had he ever made it easy when it wasn't to his advantage?

"It's time for your sentencing. You're expected in the throne room." The guards seemed unmoved but were watching him closely. The door didn't stay open so even if he rendered the unconscious or killed them, he still wouldn't be able to escape. If he held one hostage, well, he knew very well that Odin was willing to sacrifice a few men and that wouldn't get him anywhere.

"Of course. Can't keep the king waiting." His tone could be considered mocking but wasn't enough for him to be called on it. Especially since regardless of everything, he was still considered an Asguardian Prince. Fluidly standing and taking a step towards the four, Loki watched with amusement as the guards cautiously approached him as one would a poisonous snake. He was quite tempted to yell 'Boo', but refrained, least he receive a cut to his comfortable green garments. There wasn't the time to change.

Once he was sufficiently shackled in Seidr dampening chains, he was lead out, others picking up the remaining chains. He felt just the bit more appeased when more guards joined on journey to the throne room, equaling up to ten, though surely he was considered more of a threat than that? His focus changed upon entering the room. Odin was there, of course, but so was Mother, further down near where he was.

"Are you proud of me, Mother?" He couldn't help but ask, clicking his heels together as he came to a stop in front of Odin, his not-Father. The man who took him as a political tool and held no intentions of ever letting him have the throne. Who raised him to hate what he was and then punished him for it. "I truly don't see what all the fuss is about." All these guards, the grandeur of the situation. Ah, and of course his attack on Midguard. Loki had not brought up his time away from Asguard and was not planning to. He hadn't brought up the staff or how it'd controlled him. Did it matter? He wasn't truly Odin's son, nor was he needed or wanted on Asguard.

Odin had held Thors thoughts into consideration.Loki had gone far enough in his crime for it to be over looked or forgotten about. One of his eyes gazed at Loki pondering his next move it had been several arguments for Odin to finally listen to reason, of course it meant that Odin didn't have to deal with him and would be Thors problem.

"I'd deal with the prisoner alone." Only the guards remained to deal with Loki. His wife had left and Thir remained on the side lines. Loki always had been one step ahead. But Loki would not get the better of him he wouldn't allow it.

"Loki. After careful consideration, you will be bound to Thir in the human world. You will be tethered by a magic bracelet. And further more you will be working under Thor working with the Avengers on Earth. You will not be allowed back here unless Thor is with you and under great need. You will be banished from here until further notice. " Odin spoken firmly looking at Thors direction who came into the room standing next to Loki.

Thorn didn't dare to glance at Loki. He remained glancing towards his father. Would Loki be grateful? Hate him rbem more? He didn't know. What to think he just hoped that this part of the hearing was done.

Brows went up though as the sentence was delt out, not something he expected to hear. "What now?" He asked, leaning in as though he hadn't heard correctly. Thor had made it perfectly clear he wanted little to do with him, and now they were to be bound together? Was he insane? On Midguard of all places? True, he could think of a fair few worse places to be sentenced to, though he had just recently tried to take over the realm. Not to mention he'd been beaten into the floor by that green monstrosity he was now apparently supposed to be working with, or at least his less angry other half.

Movement caught his attention and he looked to Thor with a purposefully blank expression, not willing to give him victory over him, regardless of the circumstances. Despite his efforts, the familiar scent came him just as strongly as it always had and he breathed out slowly in an effort not to inhale it. "This is madness. I am to, what? Pay off my debt? Right my wrongs?" His tone was the usual mildly mocking that he got away with so well.

"And what of your wrongs, Father." It was more mocking this time. "Or are we just to pretend you played no role in it." Loki was getting off light and he knew it but if he was banished from Asguard and essentially stripped of his right to the throne then why shouldn't he seek justice for what'd befallen him? It had been a lie. All of it. But of course, Odin wouldn't punish himself. Wouldn't ask for forgiveness and Loki wouldn't give it to him if he did.

A sort of bored, heavy acceptance fell on him regardless of what the older man had to say and he responded, "It's not that I don't enjoy our talks...I just really don't. Are we done here? I'd like to be on my way."  For the first time in several years he addressed Thor, "And I'm sure you're eager to get back to your beloved Midguard."

Odin looked at Thor then his eye had returned to Loki hearing Lokis reaction wasn't exactly surpsing. The male didn't see to have understood the gratifying of his crimes. He wasn't innocent he knew that and one day it will catch up to him. When he wasn't fit to be king no doubt Thor will wise up to it right now Loki was the thorn in his side. The problem with Loki if he had a problem he'd blunt it out regardless of if he was in the wrong or not and would actually confront Odin like he was now.

A guard has come over when Odin clicked his fingers carrying a box. The box was small wooden carved. Dark wood. The guard gave the box to Thor to hold for a second. When he opened the lid two golden bracelets. On Odins command  the guard had placed the first bracelet with Viking engraved marks.

On the outskirts it didn't look like much. Just a golden bracelet that had weight to it. But it was enough to get the job done. Powerful devices. He had opened the bracelet up and snapped it onto Lokis left arm. It gave. Snap like reaction tight against the wrist and no way of escaping it either unless Odin wished it. The same did with Thor who grunted when the bracelet snapped on his right arm. Bonding them two together.

When the bracelets were snapped on Odin came forward to Loki meeting him at arms length. Keeping a firm  distance. "We shall talk another time, but for now be thank for given a second chance because trust me Loki this is your last. If you went with my idea trust me you wouldn't like it. Your actions bare consequences, if you decide that this isn't enough for you. Their will be no more chances and not only you will be affected. "

Thor glared at his father hoping he wouldn't of spoken about Thors demands and contracted agreement. He knew Tony wouldn't be pleased but at least they'd understand. Odin glanced at Thor again.

" I will start the process soon. Expect a visitor. " Odin smiled coldly. Thir hated that smile knowing he fell into the palms of his father's wishes. But he had only said 3 men that he agreed to swing so of he got rid of them the Contract was finished. As so he thought.

"So it would be father." Thor finally spoken gruffly. Knowing it wouldn't be pretty for him. He had a fair idea whi his father would send.  He just hoped Loki didn't wise to it.

Thor had sumond his hammer ended up in his hand. And grabbed Lokis shoulder. He couldn't believe the smell that never changed. He had been feeling anxious wondering about Lokis reaction.

Within moments both vanished with the hammer before Loki could do further damage. Sending him to Migaurd and working with the Avengers probably not the wisest option but at leat he'd have support dealing with Loki?

Or separating him and Banmer. "That could've gone worse." Thor finally spoken to Loki as they returned to Earth just outside of Starks tower.  He put his hammer down and faced Loki. "I'm sure you're probably filled with hate with against me Loki, for not seeing you in the past three years, our father, I mean my father forbid me to see you. I wanted to make sure you were okay but the guards forbid it"

The God of Mischief had a brief thought of being stubborn but set that aside, instead handing over his arm for the shackles to be replaced by the bracelet,  the rest being removed once it was fully on. He could feel the powerful magic within it and knew that he wouldn't be able to undo the enchantments on it. Not on his own and not without powerful allies he would not have access to. So this was to be his leash? At least it was not an actual leash, though Thor may have enjoyed humiliating him as such. Not even in the enjoyable sense.

Head raised, chin up as Odin approached, Loki refused to look defeated, though his eyes did narrow slightly as he took in the king's words, rolling them over in his mind. If this wasn't Odin's idea, then who's was it? Surely not Mother's. Thor's then? Why in the Norns would Thor want to take him back to Midguard? Bound to him, no less? Though perhaps that part was not of his choosing. That last warning though...was he alluding that someone else would be punished in his stead? Who would even...? His eyes flicked to Thor. What have you done now, Brother?

For the moment he kept silent about this 'visitor', but his eyes flickered between the two of them. Some sort of deal had been had or negotiations had been made. Highly suspicious. He couldn't help the small flinch when Thor grabbed him, haven't having felt anyone's touch for the past three years after years of being in Thanos' care. Inwardly he cursed himself for giving such a reaction, knowing how touch driven Thor could be and how he didn't even think about how his actions affected people. They were flying moments later, a familiar feeling and it was straight for Heimdall and the bifrost.

"What? Not even going to allow me to pack?" Loki sassed, but it appeared not as Thor seemed in a hurry to get him out of Asguard. Probably before he could cause more trouble. As if he couldn't cause trouble on Midguard. Heimdall leveled a steady glare at him the whole time he was there. "Missed you too." He said with a false smile. Soon after they were travelling to Midguard and landing outside of a very familiar Tower.

"Define 'worse'." Loki responded, though he could in fact name quite a few things that were 'worse'. "You do realize you landed us here in the open where people likely still remember my face?" A wave of magic and he put himself and Thor in Midguardian clothes. Mjolnir became an umbrella. This emotional...thing Thor was trying to start right here in the open was completely inappropriate for the location. Horrible timing, as usual. There was a heavy feeling in his chest over the word 'hate.' Hate wasn't exactly what he felt for Thor. It was complicated.

"Is this your attempt at an apology? Never mind, Thor. You've made your feelings perfectly clear." He dismissed the whole thing. Yes, he was bitter, but what would Thor visiting have done? Put him in the same awful position he'd been in before this all happened. Except there was nothing left to bind them together. Thor didn't even insist on calling them brothers anymore, and he was the type to do so.

---

Inside the Tower, Jarvis gave an alert. "Sir, it appears that Prince Thor is outside and he's brought with him Prince Loki."

Tony Stark, who was working in his labs on the next step up in his suits--he was thinking something with nanotech?--jerked his head up at the mention of Loki. "Run that by me again? Did you say Loki, as in the guy who tried to take over and destroy New York, is outside my Tower right now?" How long had he been in here? 36 hours? Was he hearing things? Maybe he really did need to take a nap.

"That'd be correct, Sir. At the moment they seem to be speaking peaceably."

"Oh, well, then that's just...!" Tony set his wrench down with a clatter and stood up, jogging his way to the elevator. It wasn't two minutes before he was flying down to land in front of the two Gods in Mark 47, hand raised and pointed at Loki in case he needed to use his repulsor. "Hey there, Point Break, something you wanna fill me in on or do I need to call the rest of the band?"

"I know your pissed at me and I don't blame you for it. I'm not good at this emotional thing and the timing is bad. I just wanted you to know that. We will talk when your ready." Thor shrugged his shoulders. He had been so tired as of late that he barely slept wondering and fearing what Odin would agree on. Not to mention the deal he had made. He might as well say goodbye to his freedom now.

Thor didn't know what kind of answer he expected Loki to have, of course all of this was unknown territory he just spent the last 3 years ignoring him. Rejected him twice already so bounding together made no sense to the God of mischief. Thor just wanted to lie down and forget the entire ordeal.

He doubted that would be the case since he saw Iron man came into the breach Thor just prayed that Stark was in a good mood and Loki kept his mouth shut. So in defence showing signs of stress he just sat on  the nearest rock. The weight of his father's agreement weighing down on him, the unspoken half the contract that Loki doesn't know about.

He looked at Stark his eyes, his deepened expression meant that he wasn't in the mood for any shit right now. "Well Stark. You save me the trouble of finding you meet our newest member of the Avengers." He sarcastically smiled. "He's very enthusiastic about it as you can see."

Thor felt faint due to not having regular meals, during the time Loki had been in prison Thor hadn't been himself being away from Loki for so long. He had blamed himself, buried himself with so much guilt that he should've, could've would've tried harder for Loki. Perhaps the prison and the time spent their would've been better for him. Of course, all matters shouldn't of been easy to forget Loki did this himself, he was the God of mischief after all.

"See these magical bracelets? we're bound together. If we try to split we will be snapped back together. Loki's crimes are now being sentenced. Miguard, was the only place I could think of working with the Avengers were the best place for him since well.. he's done wrong to each to everyone of you and the realm it's self. I thought no better way than you Stark to help me rehabilitate him into the greater good."

"You can't send him away because I'd have to go too." Thor explained as he stood up.  Thor looked stressed as hell with the entire ordeal and not only other private matters he had to take care off.

"There's another thing you should know, so you don't be alarmed someone from Asgaurd will come and shadow me for a while. Pay no attention to him Loki is the one you really need to worry about. " He knew that his actions barely made sense he wasn't the diplomatic one his tactics were warrior styled, go in head first and ask questions later.

"You'd going to have to help me keep the peace between Banner and Loki I don't think he'd be pleased to know that Loki had returned."  Thor couldn't handle all that even if he tried.

He gave in rather quickly. His pig-headed big brother who always wanted things done his way. It made him even more suspicious of what'd taken place whilst he'd been locked away. Thor wasn't the type to back down or give up easily. Had he really changed that much in all their years apart or was this simply the result of them losing their bond? Now wasn't the time for questions and overall he couldn't say he was disappointed in the greeting time of Earth's defenders, though perhaps he was insulted that only Stark appeared.

Loki nearly rolled his eyes when he saw Thor sitting down instead of meeting Stark head on. Of course he wouldn't defend him. At least Stark seemed reasonable, though he did recall throwing him out a window, so he shouldn't let down his guard around him. Not that he would. He did, in fact, snort softly at Thor's introduction of him, smiling in a sardonic way and holding his hands out in a 'tada' fashion.

Tony glanced at Thor, taking in that serious expression, and the way Loki was reacting, not taking it as a complete joke or something absurd. "Oh, you've got to be shitting me." He said quietly to himself within the suit. "Ah, pretty sure the Avengers are people who want to help Earth, not destroy it. Last I checked, anyway." Sarcasm was his to-go defense mechanism because who in the hell saw this coming? Loki didn't look like he was going to attack but Tony didn't trust him. He trusted Thor, who was leisurely sitting there like his brother hadn't literally stabbed him before.

"Technically I wasn't trying to destroy Midguard, just take it over." Loki offered, amused by the small amount of chaos he could create.

"Not helping here, Maleficent." There were people watching, gathering, and pointing cameras. Tony sighed. They had to get this drama off the streets ASAP. "J, black out on all media." Jarvis would take care of all of the cameras and phones for now, cutting off anything from getting out there, but it was only a matter of time before word spread. He lowered his gauntlet so people would stop acting like there was going to be another all out war. Fuck, don't let there be another alien battle on our hands...

As Thor explained just what'd happened and what was going on, his head spun a bit. "Magic bracelets? Wait--You want me to rehabilitate Loki?"

"I apparently get no say in the matter." The man interjected.

Tony could barely take care of himself! Hell, if you asked Pepper or Rhodey, he couldn't even do that! In a lot of ways he was messed up and possibly even broken. It all seemed like one big joke but Thor didn't joke like this and his expression and demeanor was anything but joking. He looked stressed as hell and even Loki seemed to be taking it somewhat seriously, watching his brother. He just took a breath when there was more information. Someone was watching Thor.

Alright, so he was getting that Thor likely fought for Loki to get some sort of lighter sentence compared to whatever he would've gotten on Asguard. The only option he had was to bring him here and have him repay his debts but he needed help and had no one else to turn to. Of course he could ask the other Avengers but none of them had the same weight to pull the type of shit he did. Tony didn't have any family left, but he supposed he could somewhat understand the lengths Thor would go though.

"One step at a time here. We need to move this dram-com off the streets. We're attracting a crowd." He glanced at Thor. "Where's that hammer?" Loki smirked and glanced at the umbrella left laying on the concrete. "Seriously?" Tony picked up on the hint. "I can't believe I'm saying this--grab the umbrella and meet me in the hanger up top." Powering up the repulsors he took off up to the quinjet landing pad near the top floors of Avenger's Tower, speaking to Jarvis. "J, restricted access to Loki. As needed only. Watch him."

"Of course, Sir. Shall I add him to Prince Thor's floor?"

"Yeah, do that." He said while he waited for them to come up, unsure if he really wanted to take off the suit or not but also knowing Loki was on a bit of a tight leash at the moment. In the end, he wasn't one to scare easy or back down, so Mark 47 opened up and he stood there in his casual clothes, waiting for Thor to land with Loki and figure out the details of just what the hell had happened.

Down on the ground, Loki faced Thor, this time better prepared for the manhandling and flying. "You're keeping secrets, Brother. That's supposed to be my tune." He didn't expect him to come out and tell him but he was making it clear that he knew something was up.

Thor was well aware of the God of mischief's way of handling people. He knew he could press buttons just to see the reaction. He chose to sit down but he was very much on guard if Tony did anything to Loki he was very protective, exhausted and on edge because of everything that happened between him and his father it wasn't recommended and quite frankly he didn't want to dump his problems or ask for help. But the Avengers were the only people he could probably trust to handle themselves around Loki. All of the members have their own set of skills because he sure was sure as heck that he couldn't handle this by himself on a different realm other than Asgaurd.

When they were alone again temporarily, he frowned as he looked at Loki he didn't want to talk about that he refused to acknowledge it. "All you need to be concerned with brother is the fact that your here and not there." He said abruptly everyone was in the joking mood trying to act normal. But Thor wasn't in the mood for it but he was glad that the men were trying to get a long. In-the end he summoned his hammer waited for a few seconds before the hammer landed in his palm. He had great faith in protecting Loki.

"I trust you will be on your best behaviour. Especially when you meet with the green one." It was a light-warning that he gave Loki. Bringing Loki before him he didn't realise he was holding his breath, before they knew it. He was already facing Stark again. He knew Tony had questions but right now he just needed to deal with his father. His body language looked on edge, like he was waiting for an attack observing everything since he knew that his courters would be making their move one at a time which Thor wasn't happy about either he just had to tolerate there existence and move on.

"If it's at all possible I'd like to return to my room with Loki. I don't really have the energy to deal with tension of reaction to Loki being a new member right now." Thor told Tony he wasn't really wanting to openly admit to weakness. One at a time he could deal with so the information sunk in that Loki is going to be a permanent member. "I will warn you now Stark no one is to harm Loki whilst he's here his business is under my watch. Anyone is forcefully engage like the green one, I will react. I don't care who responds to Loki's being here it's not ideal. I will defuse the situation quickly as possible but my patience has only have so much right now."

Thor looked at Tony his eyes spoke mercy of distress. Weary on his feet. "I've been cleaning up messes of the 9 realms, it's not been an easy job within the past 3 years." Thor rubbed the corner of his eyes always been on constant guard. It hadn't been an easy job to clean up all of Loki's messes. Quite frankly he couldn't tolerate any Avengers unwilling behaviour to work with Loki.

"And as for you." He turned to Loki.  "I will only back you up so much but even you must learn how to work with people that people aren't just a toy because your bored. Learn to help them and they will help you. Don't make me regret doing this brother." Thor spoke sharply bluntly.

It was interesting as Thor nearly lost his balance with pure exhaustion catching up to him it was a momentarily guarded weakness that presented himself but he casually used the wall as an excuse so the other two didn't see it or he hoped to.  He had been chasing after chasing Loki's mistakes. His father of course stayed at home. It had been fine at first but time after time it just got to him in the end he hadn't had a moment's rest since Loki's imprisonment.  Not even had a chance to drink with the Asguard men on social occasions.

"This is pretty cosy mind if I join?"  Rubbing his hands together nervously noticing Loki. "What is he doing here? do we need to call the others?" Banner was confused to why Tony had left where he was stationed. Noticing Thor and the puny god that Hulk hated. "Everything okay Tony? I can call the others if need?"

Thor glanced at Banner this time he had moved away from the wall to prove a point he would defend Loki. A light breathing like he was already worn out, Loki being this close would see like he was breathing hard like he was running a marathon. He didn't have any fight in him but he would challenge Banner if things got ugly.

"No problem here, unless you make it a  problem." Thor was getting annoyed at all the questions. He knew this would happen but still it was bloody annoying.

Thor hadn't been in a mood like this in quite a while. Well, not true. He'd been in this mood when he'd been attacking Midguard and he hadn't seen him since, so for all he knew he could've been in this mood the entire time he was locked up. It wasn't like him though. Thor was the jovial sort who basked in battles and glories, boasting about his achievement and prowess. "Ah, yes, that one." For now he wasn't saying anything further about his inward musings. He wouldn't get anything good from Thor at the moment even if he did rile him up.

Soon they were standing on the Quinjet pad, Tony started approaching and Loki scanning over the changes to the Tower he'd brought destruction to, keenly aware that his brother was on edge, though not a threat to him. There was a certain charge in the air when Thor had his sights set on him. A certain excitement. Mark 47 remained closed where Tony had left it, still sticking around but not active. He gave a bit of a breathy chuckle, "Yeah, not looking too forward to that either." Tony said about the inevitable upcoming meeting about Loki becoming an Avenger. "You have your work cut out for you."

A brow rose at the clear protective warning, taking a glance at Loki who was staring hard at Thor with a small frown on his face like he hadn't been expecting that. Huh. "Woah, there, no one's talking about starting fights or breaking treaties. I'm sure there's some sort of...diplomatic immunity going on here." He probably shouldn't have said that; the way Loki's eyes darted to him and he smirked. He pointed a finger at him. "That is not how it sounds, Houdini. Don't even think about it. Whatever it is: Nope." Loki continued to look amused but raised his hands in a mock placating gesture.

Looking back to Thor though, well, the guy looked like shit. For a God, anyway, and that was pretty hard to do because he could readily admit the guy was hot. "You look like you sleep less than I do, and that's saying something." Tony regularly got caught up in things and put off sleeping for days at a time in favor of projects, his mind not letting him rest. Sometimes it was nightmares instead. Thor, though, looked like he could sleep a century. Loki was seeing it as well.

"It'd be easier if they weren't so fun to play with." Loki replied as was expected of him, though he was stepping closer to Thor. Distraction came in the form of Banner and Loki wished he had his daggers on him as he tensed.

Tony felt like facepalming. "Uh, J, a little heads up next time?" Looking over to Bruce he had to quickly glance back to see Thor moving. "Woah, woah! Hey. No problem here. No need for a Code Green, right guys?" No reason to bring out the Big Guy. Loki kept an eye on Banner but moved towards Thor, putting his arm around his waist and working to bring the stubborn man's arm over his shoulders. As long as Mjolnir was held by Thor, it weighed nothing. "Big, long story. Short version? Loki's going to be here making up for three years ago and Thor's taking charge of it."

"Stop being stubborn," Loki said, "if I wanted to stab you I'd do it already. It's pathetic how tired you are. Either we do it this way or I string you up with magic and float you to our destination. Seeing as how you're my main shield here, I can't have you keeling over on me." Of course this covered up his concern. In the past, it wasn't unusual for them to attend to each others wounds after battle or simple check up on the other. It'd faded after time, especially after Thor had rejected him, but the memory of it was still there.

"Everyone stay calm." Tony ordered and then turned back to Thor and Loki, hoping to hell he didn't regret this. "Alright, no killing, stabbing, mind controlling, or throwing people out of windows. And don't destroy my stuff."

"Is that all?" Loki raised a brow with a tone that made Tony question if he had covered enough ground.

"Probably not, but I don't have the patience to make a loop hole free list so let's just say 'Don't be a dick.'" The god chuckled and he didn't know what to make of it so he didn't bother to acknowledge it. "Alright, come on before Thor here passes out." He said, patting Thor lightly on the arm. Touch was okay when he was the one initiating it and he remembered that Thor liked being touchy and exchanging scents and all that.

Loki actually somewhat liked Stark. He appreciated his humor when his cutting wit wasn't turned on him. The man also reminded him just a bit of Thor, the other Omega being just as bold and brass. Something that was absurdly the opposite on Midguard for the most part. Following Stark, he proceeded to lead them into the Tower, sticking close to the two of them and getting them into the elevator, which opened and closed for them automatically.

It took them down a few floors and opened up to a residential looking floor. The furniture was all large and comfortable. Norse inspired with furs and grand architectural features. It was like an apartment. "There's two bedrooms. Kitchen, bathrooms, everything you need. Weren't expecting you so the kitchen isn't stocked yet. I'll have Jarvis order something and it'll come up in the elevator. I'm assuming you're not up to company tonight. If you need anything, ask Jarvis. He's everywhere."

"A step up from the Asguardian dungeons." Stark snorted at him, which Loki smirked, pulling his brother out of the elevator and searching out one of the rooms. "Jarvis is?" Stark made a broad gesture.

"Good Evening, Prince Loki, Prince Thor. I am Jarvis, Mr. Stark's AI. If you need anything, please let me know how I can be of assistance."

"He's got you taken care of. I'll see you sometime tomorrow." Tony said before the doors to the elevator shut. The man let out a breath then. Now he just needed to head back up and explain to the rest of the team what was going on and convince them not to freak out.

Thor was grateful for Loki's insightfulness sometimes it came in handy in times like this but others it wasn't since Loki was already hot on his trail in terms of what would happen in terms of making this happen for Loki. It was worth it wasn't it? before he knew it he was meant to be standing front of Loki, to stop the men from fighting. Of course from the outside looking in it looked like a unfair battle. Been as Banner was nerdy as hell and Loki wasn't really exactly built for fighting. But when the green guy came out all bets were off and often devastation laid in his wake.

Banner might seem calm now but no one could predict only the widow seemed naturally calm around him and able to tame the beast within. Right now Thor couldn't careless what happened. Now he looked like he was being carried like dead meat over Loki's shoulder.

"The God of thunder doesn't keel over Loki I'm merely just dropping my guard down."  A wicked smile escaped his lips. Loki being the master of illusion and could see anything through Thor's bullshit. He wouldn't last 5 minutes if they went to toe with anyone of the Avengers he would be easy picking for now until he actually got some sleep.

Since Loki was in prison, he missed the other's scent. He found it hard to sleep. Now the fact that he had to sleep with another alpha besides Loki well. It broke his heart in places he didn't expect feel. He told himself that Loki didn't matter well that was lying to himself. Unfortunately it was too late for Thor to notice and made no difference Loki wouldn't take him back.

"You take the fun out of it stark, you didn't say I couldn't create thunderstorms or make it rain. Does that count?" Thor asked tiredly as he was still trying to lift his own weight up so he didn't crush Loki just because he was a warrior, dammit not some damsel in distress shouting 'save me save me.'

Thor eased into the touch as if his mind was dropping else where rather than being in attack or defensive mode, even his mood started to shift with Loki's effects. It was like Loki knew exactly what he needed despite the differences. Loki knew how to help without being over bearing or interfering with him to make him feel inferior. Gently his body stopped resisting the urge to try and stand and just allowed Loki to do it. - Just this once.

Thor stood up as they finally reached to the apartment. It was an awkward feeling that he felt knowing that Loki had the other room on his floor it was a great relief rather than a burden. "Just so you know Stark, I will be expecting three visitors from Asguard. I might require someone assistance for someone to watch Loki whilst I deal with them. Hopefully you'd hardly notice them but I just wanted you to know. I don't know when they will be sending them." Thor mentioned again in case Tony forgot.

It was that, that was looming over his head that stressed him out the most.  "You do realise I wasn't going to keel over you know?" Thor tilted his head allowing some blond strands of hair. "Just wear and tear. " Thor nodded with a affirmation not sure if Loki actually believed it or not.

As the boys entered the space of their home for now on, Thor actually appreciated being away from Asgaurd. He had been entering and cleaning up the messages of the past 9 realms in the past 3 years, settling the scores. Thor finding the nearest sofa before sat down he didn't bother with a bed his big body just settled on one side of the sofa. His fingers rubbed the corner of his eyes.
--

Banner wasn't sure what got into Tony letting the God of mischief out of all people into the building, he was trying to figure it out. He wasn't any feelings since he was just confused that he saw Tony chatting to the God's like it was an ordinary thing.  Banner had asked Jarvis where Tony was but before he could reach Tony, he met Natasha.

"Hey why do you like you just seen a ghost?" Natasha was walking up to Banner. "I was going to see you in the lab but neither you and Tony were there."  Of course Hawkeye weren't too far behind Natasha as they were sharing notes.

"Well.. I just saw something I wish I didn't see." Banner stammered being his nervous awkward self.

"What did you see?" Natasha asked tilted her head in confusion. She could pin point the stress levels and was worried about him. Not usually this worked up well not on a mission.

"Your not going to believe this..." Banner began to explain that met Thor and Loki and was being guided to Thor's level and most likely joining the Avengers.

"No way, has Tony lost his mind? he can't let that bastard join us" Natasha exclaimed. "Jarvis! Where is Stark now?" Natasha asked knowing that Jarvis would be listening to their conversation.

"Loki will be staying with us most likely attached. " Banner shrugged.

"Oh hell no, not after what he done last time he was here all he does is create devastation Let's find Stark and find out what really is happening!" Natasha said sharply.

"Of course not, Brother." Loki replied to Thor's denial of keeling over, this time actually rolling his eyes. Compared to the larger man it often wasn't thought of that Loki could handle himself but in actuality he was a God. He could lift nearly as much as Thor, approaching 50 tons, and could take quite a beating and keep coming. His brother's weight was nothing in comparison so he had no problems practically carrying him.

Tony took the hint in that and was grateful that he didn't have try and help carry the large man as well. "I was talking to Loki; Don't make me make a list for you too." He said mock warningly with a hint of humor to it. If they had to create a list for Thor then this was going to be one hell of a visit. Loki knew just how to handle him though. Not that Tony was really looking to look, but he couldn't help but notice that massive amount of tension releasing at Loki's efforts. Thor really trusts him. Maybe not the smartest move, but it was a good enough vote of confidence for Tony to give this whole thing a shot.

Once Tony got them down to the right floor, he paused there before the elevator closed. "Sounds like things are a little more complicated than you said. Rest up, Thor. We'll talk about it later." No real answer was given because he didn't know who the hell was coming or what for. He wasn't going to let just anyone in his Tower, which sounded ridiculous with Loki being right there, but there you have it.

--

Clint was heading around with Natasha, wrapping up the finally notes for their latest mission and almost in the free and clear. There just some technical stuff to clear up with Bruce or Tony; preferably Bruce because he was less likely to mock them before giving them the answers. What he didn't expect was run into Banner looking rather pale. "Was it the ghost of Christmas past?" He offered up when Nat asked what the man had seen. Of course he didn't expect the answer they actually got and a deep scowl crossed his features.

"Are you kidding me? Loki's back?! And he let him in the Tower!" He knew why he was angry, but it wasn't like Nat to lose her cool. She must be really carrying a grudge against Loki.

--

"Sir, Mr. Banner has informed Mr. Barton and Ms. Romanoff of Prince Loki's arrival. They are less than pleased and asking for your location."

Tony sighed. "Call everyone who's not out and have them go to the meeting room. I'm not repeating myself." It was better to get all of the questions and yelling over with all at once, even if he didn't know much.

"As you wish, Sir." The elevator took Tony to the Avenger's communal floor so he could head to the meeting room.

--

"Mr. Stark has requested that everyone come to the meeting room so that he may answer all of your questions at once." Jarvis responded to Ms. Romanoff, interrupting the tirade with his calm, imposing voice.

"Alright, fine." Clint responded, shifting and rolling his shoulders, contemplating stopping off to pick up his bow and arrows. It probably wasn't a good idea to demand answers from the Gods themselves, as much as he wanted to. At least not yet. He'd rather be as prepared as possible.

Jarvis relayed the message to the other Avengers within the Tower, summoning them all to the meeting but not explaining anything to those who didn't know what was going on.

--

Down on Thor's floor, Loki was inwardly mocking how stubborn Thor was as the larger man stumbled away from him and onto the couch. "You're not nearly adept at lying as I am, Brother." Any fighting and he would've been out for the count. Keeling over meant to drop suddenly, not to actually die, and he definitely was on the verge of the former.

"I would take on all of them even the Hulk, Loki. I might not been there for you for the past three years. But I can assure you I did everything within my power  to go as far as I can to see you. You might be angry with me you might even go as far as hating me. I have been clearing your mess for the past 3 years which is why I'm so bloody tired. I know I have been ass to you." Thor finally got up but stumbled slightly but ignored it to deal with Loki.

The god within moments had Loki pinned up against the wall his towering body looming over the Alpha male. He breathed out harshly felt a little stumble. "Don't mistake me for a fool, brother. You really think I would neglect you or reject you in the past without reason?" He asked. Beads of sweat ran down his forehead. His body nearly collapsed on Loki but he held his own weight refused to let it slip.

"I might of neglected you, rejected you but I'm doing all of this for a reason I just haven't figured it out yet. Everywhere I go, Loki. I feel chained. I want to do what I was born to do and that was to be a warrior, but it doesn't like that's going to last." Thor sighed heavily. He stared at Loki with such burden in his eyes but nothing related to Loki. "I might of made a mistake but I wouldn't take it back if it meant that you were here with me." Thor sighed as he allowed his body to caged Loki's for a minute before breaking away.

"My actions might seem in-different and confusion to you brother, quite frankly it's confusing to me too but never doubt how much I'm prepared to fight for you. Even if it means going against the Avengers." Thor gritted out.  Yawned  before retreating back to the sofa for a nap.

--
Captain America was sitting against the wall as the other's joined him in full circle to wait to hear about this meeting Captain had no idea what the heck was going on only to see Clint and Widow annoyed about something as well. Or at the very least ticked off. "Did I miss something?" He asked Banner as he walked in as were all confused waiting in the waiting room.

"You would never get this, LOKI that bastard is back and Tony is letting him in for whatever reason I think we should pounce on him whilst he's not looking." Banner pretended to look like the bad guy. Captain looked at him it wasn't surprising.

Cap had his jaw opened. Woah. This is going to get interesting as they all waited for Tony to explain what the hell was happening none of the Avengers were happy. It was  going to be an interesting night.

Banner was going back wards and forwards working himself up for a fight. "Say let's hear him out before we jump to conclusions aye?" Cap was trying to settle things down.

"Just one chance I need." Banner spoke harshly they're last visit wasn't exactly that pleasant. "The bastard needs to be rot in prison for all the chaos he did. How the heck is he still alive?"

"Do you really want to get through Thor? They are Gods after all." Cap shrugged his shoulders.

Thor's speech made no sense to him. Turning on his former friends and allies; Why? Loki easily recalled that day on the Bifrost, dangling there, knowing that not only had Thor rejected him again but so had their father, who was not even really his father. Having no place in Asguard or in Thor's heart. Letting go had been almost easy, a match to the devastating emotions he'd been feeling. His hand slowly formed into a fist and clenched. Why was he doing this?

The flash of movements had him tensing and attempting to back up but Thor had him against a wall soon after and he stilled, knowing better than to struggle at this point. It took him a moment to recognize that this was Thor and he wasn't attacking him. A mock of a laugh made it out of him. "Oh, well as long as you had reason, everything's alright, isn't it?" The sarcasm was heavy and if he had his daggers he may very well have stabbed his brother just to show him a taste of how he felt.

He didn't even know the reason! Loki wanted to laugh but he felt no humor. At least in this moment Thor felt as miserable as he was. Whatever deal he'd made to get him here, it had something to do with his freedom. Were Thor's shackled the same as his? Despite himself, he was taking in his brother's familiar scent. It'd been so long since they'd been so close. "You did something stupid, didn't you?" Loki accused harshly, not expecting Thor to answer or spill his secrets. He certainly wouldn't, not so easily. His hands made it to his waist for a moment, roughly holding him up before Thor moved away again.

A drawn out, frustrated sigh left him then. There wasn't even the time to rage at him properly when he was this tired. "Sentimental fool. Sleep so we can have a proper argument." With purposeful strides he entered the bedrooms and looked them over, quickly making assessments. Despite one being the 'master bedroom' they both were of adequate sizes and contained their own attached bathrooms. Stark had his approval on that.

Returning, bathrobe thrown over one arm, there was a small flash of green and their clothes returned to their normal Asguardian garb. Loki held up the robe and eyed it before eyeing Thor, then snapped his fingers and the clothes Thor was wearing ended up folded on the coffee table while Thor ended up wearing the fuzzy black robe, and nothing else, that barely fit and covered his large frame. "Stark said something about food, what was it, Jarvis?"

"That is correct, Prince Loki. Is there something specific you'd like for me to order you or shall I go for the fastest?"

"I was lead to believe you can't go wrong with pizza." He had eaten while he was here the last time.

"Indeed. Shall I order a variety of toppings?"

"Fine." He said dismissively, not caring anymore. If he didn't like something he'd make it disappear.

--

"I'm all for Loki getting what's coming to him, but last time Thor was on our side. I want to know what changed." Clint stated, frown etched into his face as he set down at the table and folded his hands over his elbows. The things Loki had made him do while under mind control...he couldn't get them out of his head. He hated the bastards but he didn't want to just turn his weapons on Thor and possibly Tony without knowing what the hell was going on first.

Tony walked in to this, raising a brow, though he'd fully expected all of it. "Hey, there, Brucie-Bear. Time for some breathing techniques?" He didn't need to try and talk reasoning with the green guy instead. "Alright" He said, cutting everyone off before they could jump down his throat. "Here's the deal. I don' have the entire details because Thor was practically passing out from exhaustion. Basically he negotiated for Loki to serve out his sentence here on Earth. We're looking at the newest Avenger, people." He paused because he knew there were going to be shouts and protests and he didn't want to talk over all of them.

"No way! Are you kidding me, Stark? An Avenger?! No way is Loki an Avenger! He tried to kill all of us! He nearly destroyed New York!" Clint shouted, banging his fist on the large table.

The genius let them argue for a moment before he tried getting their attention again, raising his voice, and when that didn't work, he made a gesture towards one of Jarvis' monitors and a shrill sound cut through the room until noise ceased. "Thank you." Tony said sarcastically. "Now listen, Thor said he has some magic bracelet or something that binds them together. They can't be more than a certain distance apart. He's taking charge of Loki's actions and he'd made it pretty damn clear that he's prepared to defend him as well. I don't know about you, but I'm not keen on fighting two intergalactic Gods and possibly starting a war with Asguard when we could just hear them out."

Sitting back in his chair, Clint wasn't happy but he saw the logic in it. They couldn't afford to make a careless mistake. If something happened like before they could sure use Thor's help and if all Asguardians were even similar in power than Earth didn't stand much of a chance if they decided to make an enemy of them. "Fine. You said Thor looked worn out?" His gaze was calculating.

"Said he'd been cleaning up Loki's mess the past three years. Peace between the realms or something. Look, he came to us for help and we owe him that. We'll figure out the details after he'd gotten some sleep. Loki's not going anywhere. He's bound to Thor and Jarvis is watching his every move." This was really all they could do for now until Thor was up for giving out the details. Tony didn't even want to mention talking to Loki alone, not only because he didn't trust him but because he didn't know what was going on, it seemed, and it was a terrible idea with how wound up everyone was.
