[Tachi]

It was complicated to know what to do here. He wanted to comfort Thor but he was the cause of the distress. At the same time he wanted to close back up and protect himself. What he ended up doing is staying where he was and rumbling reassuring. It lasted only for several moments as they got to the heart of one of the issues between them. "I held the crypt and turned blue, we argued, and he fell into Odinsleep. Odin had never acknowledged me and now I knew why, you had rejected me, and I was so angry. My world destroyed. Usually I just stab you when I'm irritated with you but you were human." So he cut him another way.

"Let me finish now or I won't." Likely ever bring this up again.

"I wanted to prove myself as an Asgardian, and in Odin's eyes. I knew it could go wrong though and that I needed my stupid brother there if it did. I didn't stop your friends from going to Midguard, regardless of what I said to Heimdall. Do you recall, brother, in all of Mother's stories, the most reoccurring thing that redeems someone? That makes them worthy again? Self sacrifice. I knew you would walk towards the Destroyer if I was controlling it. It was a gambled risk, but Odin wouldn't let you die even if I was wrong about what makes you worthy." Thor had died, but hadn't remained that way. Which had worked, he didn't know, but one of them had.

"I let Lafey in and killed him as an Odinson, then I tried to destroy Jotunheim. You remember the rest." None of it had mattered in the end. He was left with only the despair and rejection. He sighed heavily. "I don't wish to keep arguing about this, Mate, for the rest of our lives together."

Flames meant not adding fuel to the fire. No torch then. Good thing his suit could easily rip off door, and it did, bending metal and getting to the driver. Tony didn't have time to wait for paramedics or anything and had Jarvis quickly analyze for neck or spine damage before he removed him and flew him a safe distance away. Once that was taken care of he went back around the outside perimeter and started herding the rubber neckers away and evacuating the nearby buildings that might be affected.

Jarvis alerted him to another incoming car and the kid on top of it. Spider-kid, to be exact. Hey, just the kid he was looking to talk to at some point. It looked like he was handling the vehicle but he still kept an eye on it because if it crashed into the first car there was going to be an explosion. "Not bad, kid." He said when the guy was all tied up. "That everyone, Cap?"

Thor wasn't prepared for this, his eyes shut tight as he panted in distress his heart was racing. He didn't know what to process next. The fact that Loki discovered he was actually a frost giant having to deal with that discovery alone, knowing that he caused Odin to go into Odinsleep, taking the throne, controlling the Destroyer, killing him then he saw Loki fell into the abyss of the unknown his mind went straight to that point where he saw Loki's face.

He knew what he saw desperation for Odin to acknowledge  him as an Asguardian. Thor struggled to catch his breath as his grieving was so intense. Thor got up when he finished in the bathtub as he tried to dry himself his body was shaking in distress but he was trying to stop that. What should he be doing? He looked like he was having similar to a panic attack reliving the moments of Loki dropping letting go of his hand the feeling of not being able to see his brother.

The room suddenly felt so small, he had tried to dry himself he didn't know whether he should be comforting or being angry at the news. He knew his brother felt pain of knowing he was a frost giant.  He didn't know what to think right now. Part of him wanted to run and embrace but the other side felt betrayal. What did Loki wanted to hear right now?

Thor sighed heavily. His heart was racing so fast that he couldn't control his thinking.  He leaned against the wall his fingers touching the towel. Mainly to cover over his lower half and to feel the fabric.  "I.. really don't know  what to say. I don't know which path to take.  Am I angry with you for destroying the coronation?   if you asked me before the banishment I would be. No doubt we would've really fell out and that would've been the end of us for endangering Asguard.  Am I angry now for that? No, because that's been the perfect stepping stone for growth. I feel ready for the throne, I still had a lot to learn banishment had made me realise a few things I didn't have. Whether you care about my anger about it or not that's besides the point."

"In some ways we had rejected each other, since all I saw in  you was an Asguardian. I looked up to you, trusted you when I shouldn't of, being the God of Mischief. I'm no angel and did things that I shouldn't in the same way, all I wanted was to make the Frost giants fear me, but fear isn't the same way as getting respect."

Thor just wanted that closeness from Loki, that part that opened up everything. He was so protective of himself, never shared deep meaningful conversations like this, where Loki was actually being real. "We're have kids on the way and I don't want to have a gap between us, I want to know I can always rely on you to keep them safe along side me. Act like a real family, do what Odin couldn't communicate effectively. It's going to get tougher carrying twins and I need to know I can fully depend on you."

Putting his anger aside for now, he scooted along side the bathtub, he had made him so he was in arms reach. He brought Loki's hand towards the lower part of his stomach where the kids were. "I'm scared as hell Loki, I can't do this without you. I don't want this gap between us. " Thor mentioned. He didn't care if they were half Asguardian and half Frost giants.

The group of panicked civilians that were out of the collapsing building Steve remained near holding it up the best of his ability. "Can you do a head count?" The asked the owner unsure of who was on the upper floors, the Asian woman glanced at him and did a head count of the staff. "Everyone is here oh wait" She realised that one was missing.

Parker heard that one was missing seeing that he was busy to go check. "On it." Parker commented as he smiled towards Stark he wasn't sure if it was the real thing or just the suits operating themselves manually. But it was pretty cool, he was working with the Avengers! Captain America even if he wasn't in uniform his guess that was he was here by accident.  Using his agility and speed he aimed his web at the highest window, the suit was clearly hand made.

He had scouted the first top floor the smoke was getting heavier, "All clear here." Then he went to the second one and saw a woman with long hair who was holding a cat, very frightened. "Don't worry mam I'm here to save you." He smiled reassuringly Steve on the other hand was about to give way, but with  a kid in the building well he wasn't about to let go.

"Hurry up god dam it." Steve was beginning to loose grip as the building was given way further. Parker came out with the finale woman that was missing from the count and use the web to get down "That's everyone." The asian lady said.

"Ready Tony?" So in case the car exploded. "  Everyone stay clear." Captain wanted them to be completely safe away from the fire so they moved further away out of harms way now that everyone was together at a safe distance.  Parker had guided them estimating how far they should be doing damage control.

When Steve realised that everyone was safe the building was more likely to cave in on his direction rather than forwards by the shape of the building but the more pressure wasn't good for the vehicle. "Tony get ready to move." With that Steve let go of the strain of the building and it fell to one side swishing the other half of the building Parker had said that the store was closed no one was going to be in and wasn't as tall as the previous building.
























 

[Tachi]

Although the vulnerability made him want to pull away, instead he looked up to Thor when he started to move and get up. "Thor..." He wanted to comfort and protect his mate instinctively, but considering he was the cause of the distress he didn't know whether he should approach him or not. Loki got up off the floor and watched him. He didn't expect Thor to forgive him for everything, that hadn't been the purpose of telling him. It'd been to clear up the misunderstanding and lingering strain between them over the subject.

"I'm not going anywhere, brother, not without very good reason." And that wasn't because he couldn't even if he wanted to. "Why do you think I told you all this?" He said somewhat rhetorically when Thor said he didn't want a gap between them. With his other hand, he reached up and took off Thor's necklace so he could sense their children again, stepping in close to him, his arm around his waist.

"I'm aware you don't always understand me, brother, but know this; I do love you." Though he didn't often say it. "To clarify, I am also in love with you, and even when I want to stab you I still love you." And he was going to love their children as well.

Tony flew around to help support the building's structure with Steve, Jarvis pinpointing the exact place that needed the most support while the kid went swinging into the building. If he hadn't seen all the videos on youtube, he would've told him to stand aside. Seriously, that onesie was ridiculous.  "Language." Tony said with a mock gasp of horror when Steve cursed, giving him a good ribbing for it.

"Yep!" All good on his end. Almost as if coordinated, they moved near the same time and the building started collapsing soon after. Tony flew around low to the ground and made sure no one had made their way back close to the building. He wasn't quite sure how a car crash had managed this but he was betting it was an old building with terrible maintenance. And what was up with the cat? Wasn't this an office building? Well, whatever.

Flying back to the others, he landed down on the ground, calling out, "Hey, Spider-kid!" His suit opened up and he stepped out. "I've seen some of your stuff on youtube. This onesie, this is not cutting it. Stop by the Tower sometime."

Meanwhile, with everything subsiding, Volstagg had gotten out of the car and headed over to where Steve and Tony where. "Oh, are you recruiting a new Avenger, Tony?" He asked on his way to find Steve.

Tony looked over to him. "Let's not get ahead of ourselves here. Speaking of which, what are you doing over here? Steve's going to lose his shit."

"Jarvis said it was relatively safe." The danger had passed.

"Relatively!"

Thor didn't know how to handle the softer side of himself, he was being an emotional wreck. The minute he heard I love you tears broke free. Thor wasn't the type to be the damsel in distress but with everything that was shared. Thor buried his head into his mate's shoulder just letting it out, very similar to what he did. "I love you too brother." Thor commented. "Always have and always will. Even if I haven't been the best mate to being with. You can always count on me to be on your side and have your corner." Thor said through his body shaking.  He was in such distress. Hearing that just completely broke him. "I felt bad for not understanding you. I couldn't tell when you were being serious or having me on. I felt bad for thinking that their was a misalignment. Like I failed you some how. You have no clue how much I'd go to keep you with me. " Thor couldn't bare the thought of not having Loki at his side.

It was just as intensifying as not being able to breathe without oxygen. Thor rested his head against the other's shoulder getting as close as possible. He dropped his defensives. "What if I'm not a good mother?" He asked in doubt.

Steve eyed at Tony  when the building dropped he raised his arms up. "I know I know." Steve realised that Tony was enjoying this glorious moment that Steve had sworn. In his years he had lectured the Avengers for swearing through the intercoms.

Steve head Tony said 'Shit'  "Language Tony, surely you should provide a better example." His own pay back.  "Volstagg what on earth are you doing here? Jarvis I thought you were meant to be safe?" Steve noticed when Volstagg was
coming over. He checked Volstagg like a concerned mate he checked for any bruising. "Are the kids alright?" He asked. "We haven't determined what caused this yet. The danger could be still here. "


Parker was astounded that Mr. Stark was talking to him.. Talking TO HIM. Of all people. Parker had been at the lecture where Tony Stark was given a grant to all students to help with their science projects, but he never had a chance to speak to Mr. Stark, the legend himself. The man behind Iron man.  He was quite bashful. Wait what being the next Avenger? New suit?

"Mr. Stark you can call me Peter. You came to my school, regarding about the Grant." Peter acknowledged. "Woah is this really Captain America and Iron man? did I just really work with you guys? sorry Captain I thought you were a civilian."

"You're not seriously doing this are you Tony?" Captain didn't like the idea of the kid being in front line of danger.  "Hey it's vintage, I made it myself." Parker was insulted by the word 'onesie' of course it wasn't to the level of Mr Stark's office.

"Seriously come by the tower?" He asked he'd always wanted to see Mr. stark and his inventions and his mind up close and personal but he never thought that day would happen today. "I have class's but I can come by after it. " Parker was amazed. He just got insulted and complimented at the same time for his nice work.  He pointed a 'wait a moment' sign as he went over to where the truck was that was currently caught in his web to prevent the collision. He reached in to where the the strange device was.

"They didn't look like they were thinking for themselves, like mind control but they had this with them causing all sorts of damage. We were on a field trip at a near by museum when this all kicked off. " He showed Stark the strange device that clearly wasn't from Earth. "I think it's still on."  He handed it with care to Mr. Stark.

[Tachi]

His hand move from Thor's stomach to around his brother, holding him close as he cried. A strong, steady rumble started in his chest to reassure and comfort his mate. They had hurt each other plenty. The cycle needed to be broken if they were to survive as mates. "I know, brother. You would starve yourself and foolishly agree to court others, potentially mating with them, to have me at your side in any capacity." Even though he detested the thought of Thor with anyone else, it signified his desperation. His tone was not accusing nor did it imply needing to dredge this up again.

"There is no possible way you won't be a good mother. You have all the traits for it, and if you start acting stupid I will gladly knock some sense into you." It was lighthearted teasing, coming from him. Loki turned his head and kissed him deeply. "They will love you."

Tony rolled his eyes when Cap came back at him for the 'language'. Honestly, his cursing was one of the least bad things he'd done in his life. The man in question though did the exact thing he said he was going to do and immediately fussed over Volstagg. It was kind of cute, in a hilarious way. Captain America fussing over a nearly 7ft tall Viking.

"By my calculations, most of the danger has passed. With caution, there should not be any problems." Jarvis replied from Mark 47.

Volstagg, to his credit, let Steve fuss over him, having fully expected it. "Aye, everything's fine. Both me and the babes. I sat in the car the whole time." He checked Steve over as well while the man was still fussing over him, though he wasn't as obvious about it.

"First of all, that's vintage." He said, pointing at Cap who was from WWII. Pointing at the suit, he said. "That's a onesie. Second of all, why not? He's already swinging around out here." Shaking his head a little at what 'Peter' said, he replied, "At least you didn't tell me you had 'homework'. Might want to work on this whole 'secret identity' thing, kid. Not that I don't already know who you are."

The kid bounced off to retrieve a very alien looking weapon and Tony eyed it as he took it from him. "Look familiar, Volstagg?" He asked as he determined a way to turn it off.

"I believe it's Chitauri." Volstagg touched and squeezed Steve's arm reassuringly before he went to Tony and found the switch to turn it off. It made a low thrum as it powered down. "All of these high tech weapons take the fight out of it. Give me a battle axe any day--no offense, Tony. Your suits and Jarvis are spectacular."

"Hey, if you want to play medieval battles, that's on you."  He'd take a better look at the weapon later. "What's this about mind control?" His first thought was Loki, but Loki hadn't left the Tower without Thor and the scepter hadn't been touched. It wasn't him.

[Silver_Lady]

"More like stab me that is more you're forte brother." Thor teased lightly he was relieved the tension had gone. He yawned a little after he felt the pure exhaustion sink in. "God. I hope they aren't as bad as we were when we were kids, might as well get as much sleep as we can now and no teaching them illusions." He knew that Loki would probably would do, if one of them happened to be a frost giant. "If any show signs of Frost giant powers at least you'd be able to teach them. " Thor was aware that their could be traces of Frost giant, it didn't bother him in the slightest.

"I.. want to be mated to you.  Properly brother, I don't want to be claimed by a suiter.  I will speak with father you will have to come with me but you don't have to face him. Even if it means I have to challenge him if it means I can be with you." Thor would do absoulutely everything in his power to be mated. "Perhaps when the boys go back that they can recommend you as a third suiter." He grinned a little but he wasn't hopeful it would've been nice if Loki was.

Steve was about to get annoyed about being called Vintage then he thought about it and shrugged. "I suppose you have a point." But what shocked him the most that Volstagg, just wandered up to the thing like it was nothing and turned the dam thing off. He didn't have to say anything his eyes spoke volumes of what he wanted to say, it was like...seriously? you're about to put yourself at harms way. "I give up honestly kill me now." Steve finally dropped to his knees dramatically. As if he's given up on his sanity.

Then he realised the group of people were still watching him, them. Discussing Avengers things. "Eh Tony I think it's time for us to bounce?" Cap noticed that people were recognising that it was Captain America, Tony and Spider man discussing with a Viking. 

"Isn't that spider man? and Captain America and Iron man?" One of them recognised it it wasn't part of the civilians that were part of the accident.  It was a little boy from the side of the walk who was getting excited.

At least Parker didn't take his face off in front of Civilians "Ah crap stealth mode sorry!" Parker saluted to Mr. Stark, realising he had made a mistake. He didn't know what to make of it with all this compliments. When he saw the 7ft Viking he was mesmerized.

"Language!" Steve commented he couldn't stress that enough especially from child.

Parker realised the adrenaline of rushing after these two had finally gone, Parker was realising this monumental thing that was happening right now." You're very tall you're not from here are you?" He said. He couldn't believe how tall this Viking warrior was.

"Are you fussing over this guy right here?" He asked Cap who was pointing at this very large Viking warrior. "I think he can handle himself, not to be rude but he's very tall even I wouldn't want to mess with him." Parker complimented. "Or is that being rude?" He asked. "Sorry if I offended!"

[Tachi]

Loki hummed but didn't deny it. Asgardians were very tough and could take such a thing easily. Sometimes it was the only way to get Thor to pay attention. "Not while you're pregnant." It was why he'd avoided it during their sparring match. If needed he would've avoided his torso completely.

Thor was getting tired again. Not surprising. He was drained emotionally now and still exhausted and sick. "What kind of father would I be if I didn't teach them illusions?" He supposed it depended on the children. He wouldn't do to them what was done to him. He wouldn't keep from them that they were half Frost Giant. It still bothered him to think about, even though he'd recently used his abilities again. The upcoming trip to Jotunheim was not going to be easy.

There was a frown when Thor brought up challenging Odin again. "You made your promise not to challenge Odin until after you've recovered from child birth, brother. He cannot stop us from mating. If you're ready to potentially to have rely on the Avengers for sanctuary, then I can make that announcement." He kissed his neck, scrapping his teeth against it. "I too want to bite you. I won't let anyone else have you."

Volstagg looked back over to Steve, frowning a bit at him in confusion. "Are you alright, Steve?" It wasn't something he hadn't handled before and wasn't it better for the weapon to be off? The man was a bit high strung. Perhaps he should take him back to bed with him again, which wasn't a bad idea. Not something to be announced when there were children present though! And was this one in the mask a child or not? It was hard to tell on Midguard.

"Well spotted--Spider-kid, was it?" Volstagg asked, glancing at Tony who chuckled. "Now, now, don't pick on Steve. He's just protective because I'm pregnant. Like a good Alpha should be." He complimented. To Midguard's standard he didn't look anything like a typical omega. The opposite, really. This is more what Alphas looked like so he didn't blame the kid for not noticing he was an omega or that he was pregnant under his armor. He was quite large to begin with.

"As cute as this is, Cap's right, we should take this off the streets." Jarvis drove the car up next to them and opened the doors. "I'm hearing sirens. That's our cue." Tony turned around and went back into his suit, it closing up around him. "Stop by the Tower sometime." He reiterated to Spider-man before taking off back to the Tower with the Chitauri weapon.

Volstagg got into the car again, buckling himself up and waiting for Steve to join him. "You doing alright, Steve?" He asked.

[Silver_Lady]

Thor sighed heavily "I know I know, I'm just letting you know that I'm prepared to do anything to keep you here." Thor would risk his own life if need be. He smiled at the other as he was scraping his potential bite. Who knows, Odin might be very willing about the news that Thor had buckled down and settled down with someone. He wasn't sure if he was prepared to let Odin know that he was a grandfather just yet..

"I'd like to start going to the 9 realms the minute I'm well enough to travel, before I start showing preferably." Thor mentioned. "It won't be a long visit to the realms just to ensure to rebuild your relationships with them, to do some community work to show that you've changed if you plan to sit beside me on the throne." Thor mentioned   It wasn't just for Loki it was to show all the realms that Loki had changed, even if they didn't fully trust him he wanted to support Loki.

"When we get their I will be with you."  Thor mentioned knowing how anxious the other would be. " We will support you all three of us., You're not alone anymore brother." Thor murmured before he slept a little on the other's shoulders.

Steve was relieved that Tony had split the encounter up, getting into the system he was looking at Volstagg when he asked. "I'm fine Volstagg I just wasn't expecting that and was worried about your safety. In battles previously I just launched into it without thinking, it was a feeling of protection that brought out the Alpha in me to make sure that you were okay, I didn't know whether or not to stay by or help out it was particular. " Steve smiled. "I'm just glad your safe.

For his own reasoning he let Jarvis drove the car, Captain was far more stronger then people gave him credit to. "My guess is that we'd be seeing a lot of that kid. He's actually a teenager."  Steve commented.  "I did wonder if Kurse was behind this at one stage. Trying to draw out the Avengers away from the tower."

Parker waved to Tony who went of in the suit as he went in the opposite direction to where he left his pack-back and catch up with the rest of the museum of course. He couldn't believe he had a chance to go to the tower, probably after school, but would that be too keen? he was just pump at the fact that he just met Mr. Stark and actually knew he existed.

[Tachi]

"I can't say that's not pleasing to hear." People too would learn the type of wrath they'd face for attempting to take what was his. A soft sigh left him at Thor's plans, but he knew they must be done for things to go smoothly, or at least as smooth as possible. "I do not look forward to Jotunheim." He'd killed their former king and devastated the place. He doubted very much that it mattered that he'd been going through an identity crisis and that he too was a Frost Giant.

It didn't take long to realized his brother was falling asleep again. That was becoming a bad habit of his. Loki didn't know how he could continue to fall asleep standing up like that. Shifting him, he lifted Thor into his arms again and took him to the couch, laying him out and covering him with the blanket from earlier. He placed the necklace back around him and made sure he was comfortable before he checked on the furniture.

Despite what Thor had wanted to do, Loki wasn't going to wake him just to move things around. He started with the bed, using brawn and magic to start switching things out. It was best if Thor had a place to sleep again which is why he was starting there. The rest could be done in the living room if it woke him and he could be moved to the bedroom.

"It doesn't seem like a well thought out plan if it was." Though it had been right by where they'd had their date coincidently. "You think of mind control on Midguard and you think of Loki, but there's no way Loki was behind this. He's been thoroughly wrapped up in Thor. It wouldn't look good for him if people started showing up mind controlled though after he came back." Perhaps it was a potential set up. Yes, it could be a plan by the God of mischief himself, but Volstagg didn't think it was. Not with children on the way and a mate on the line.

"It'd be good to get to the bottom of it." That was something Steve and the Avengers would have to do. Volstagg was heading back with Frandal and Hogan. He had to. He had little ones at home to take care of.

Since Steve wasn't driving, Volstagg took his hand. "Quite heroic, holding a building up. Jarvis showed me on the screen there." He said with a gesture to the console. He brought Steve's hand up an kissed the back of it. "Would you like to visit my room again tonight?"

[Silver_Lady]

"I would normally be that guy that accused Loki of that, but for once I'm not. I generally don't think he's behind this. That's coming from a non-supporter. It's not that I disrespect he did come here with the intention of over throwing Earth. I suppose you could say I'm holding a grudge but...he's slowly winning me over." Steve mentioned when Volstagg had his hand and kissed the back of it asking him a very important question.

"Of course." Steve smiled. "I do what I have to do Volstagg. I'm more of a people person, Tony has a less delicate approach when it comes to it. I just intend to get the job done. I actually think someone else is behind it but that remains to be seen, it just seems a bit bizarre that we were having a meal and just as we were about to leave, that happens it seems we have other players."

Steve sighed mentally at the prospect of it. "Thank you for not being offended for me sending you to the car, I know you can hold your own, and on other times if you're not holding young or with young I would gladly fight beside you that is completely different you know that right?"  Steve raised his eyebrow knowing that Volstagg was completely capable of protecting himself.

"You think I'm heroic?" He asked, he didn't know why Volstagg's opinion of him mattered.

"I was just more bothered at the fact that you were in danger. I never had someone else to think about. Making sure you were okay was more important than anything else at the moment." Steve kissed the back of Volstagg's hand in return. He put his hand on Volstagg's stomach on top of the armour ensuring the protection. "I'd have to rely on Hogun and Frandal to make sure when you're back in Asguard that you're 100% safe." He knew compared to to himself and Asguardians, the Asguardians would have more of an idea of how to deal with the situation then he would.

Bruce was waiting at the tower he was waiting after he heard that their had been an incident he was relieved to see Tony. "How did it go? you should've called us we'd be their 100%."  Nat gave an apologetic look when she too was waiting on the side-lines for Tony to get back.

"Where's Cap is he okay?" Bruce asked. Even though it was a smaller incident that didn't really need the entire Avengers.  "Did you find the reason behind the attack?"

[Tachi]

"Loki isn't the only magic user out there." Volstagg brought up. Though he hadn't been there to see Kurse at the Compound, he had heard about it after. "Mind control is a serious thing, but Midguardians don't have much protections against any influence. If it's Kurse, or someone else, I'd keep an eye on their agenda. Even more on what spells they might be casting. You're going to need Loki's expertise." He'd see through amateur work.

Volstagg chuckled, "Aye, I know Steve. You don't have to keep apologizing." About sending him back to the car and getting over protective. He laughed a little louder when 'heroic' hit the man several minutes after he said it.

"I'm flattered." He said, not quite used to having such a doting and romantic partner, but not disliking it. The man had a feeling that he'd be happy to raise the children he already had, not just the ones he may or may not father one day. That was really a bonus for him, as his children were half his life. He couldn't just bring someone in who wouldn't care about them. "There's no such thing as being 100% safe, but I'll be fine. Even if they'll called out I have family there I'm with, not just my kids. Who knows, maybe Odin will let you visit."

Tony landed down, setting down the weapon and stepping out of the suit before Jarvis went to put Mark 47 away. "It went find with just me and Cap. Spider-kid showed up too." He knew that wasn't his name, he just knew it'd annoy him and he was that kind of guy. "Cap's on his way back with Volstagg. They were on a date." To the guy's credit, he didn't go nearly as 'alpha' as he could've. Getting laid must've really done something for him.

"Spider-kid said the drivers were acting weird, like they were being mind controlled or something. One had this." He pointed to the weapon. "Volstagg identified it as Chitauri. Too much of a coincidence in my book that the place across the street from their date happened to be attacked. I don't like it. I also don't like the reoccurring theme of Chitauri and mind control. I know Loki hasn't left the building without Thor, it isn't him. But something's up with this." Kurse immediately came to mind and he wondered if he could be trying to set Loki up. Thor would get punished for Loki's actions, so was it blackmail?

[Silver_Lady]

Steve saw the tower coming into view. " I was afraid of that, look it's not that I dislike the guy. I'm just protective of the group, I'm like the dad if you will. I'm aware of what Loki is capable of but to my own surprise I don't think it's Loki. He is growing on me, but I suppose I'm just holding a grudge against him. Me and Tony think differently and sometimes our leadership skills bash together, but at the same we do work well. As you saw." Steve commented.

"I think you're right, I think Tony will probably come up to that assumption. I think Loki will come in handy in his skill set. I remain sceptical about it, I may have feelings about that but I know my instincts are telling me it's not him. I would bet it's related to Kurse." Steve mentioned briefly. He was being 100% honest with him. "Perhaps Thor can turn him around."

"I'd like that. You really think he'd let me visit? I suppose it depends if Odin or Thor is in Throne. I wouldn't mind seeing Asguard. Thor had spoke about it briefly in the past. Do you... have much to deal with your previous partners? or  these guy's father?" He asked hoped that wasn't much of a bold question. He would get jealous about being around the other but he wouldn't stop Volstagg, they weren't strictly mated but the need to protect Volstagg was really strong. "Look's like we're about here." Steve smiled before given Volstagg another secret kiss.

"I wouldn't mind meeting your children and these babes. " Steve commented. The idea of seeing the new-borns were just super adorable. Not that he'd admit it out loud.

"I don't like it at all Tony I just wish humans had anything to do with the unknown especially with the Chitauri. I don't think it's Loki as well. The Hulk has been overly keen on protecting Loki at the moment so I think we're on the same page with this Tony but I don't like it. " Bruce rubbed his hands together anxiously.

"I'm thinking the same as you Tony and what? Cap is on the date with Volstagg? " That was new. Steve had never been bold enough for anything romantic like that. "My guess is Volstagg is leading the date." Bruce smirked a little.

"Spider-kid? you actually spoke to him? the guy on the youtube that went viral?" Bruce had seen a few video clips on Youtube. "You're actually thinking about hiring the kid?" Bruce didn't feel comfortable with the kid out on the front lines even if he did manage to handle himself.

"Might be worth bringing Loki in for a meeting but we got to be careful not to think that it's him. We don't want him to get the wrong idea."

"Say Jarvis how far is Steve now and are they able to come to the meeting? and where abouts is Loki? Do you know when that spider-kid is coming? The more we talk about it now the better we have better understanding my bets are on Kurse framing Loki."

"Loki has always liked his pranks and causing mischief. He's good at manipulating people and getting under your skin, which makes people dislike him. Having so many kids though, I've had my fair share bit of mischief from them and I can't say how sad I'd be or how they'd turn out if they had so little friends and such little trust as Loki. It's been the same all his life, Thor taking all of the attention. What I'm saying is it's easy to misunderstand him and get trapped in that mindset." They were all guilty of it at some point, even him.

"Point is, that people need someone to believe in them to even want to do good. It takes a strong person to keep fighting against what everyone expects of you." Loki had definitely made mistakes and he was resentful about a lot of things, but they didn't make it easy for him either. Now that he was practically mated with Thor, they really had to try and be more encouraging. As for Kurse, the Avengers and the princes would have to keep an eye on him.

Volstagg gave a bit of a grin at the other questions. "I consider the other parties to be 'donors' only for the most part. My kids are all Volstaggson and dottir. I'm very clear about this, though I'll not stop my kids if they want to seek them out when they're adults. For the rare ones I dated, the kids are already grown. I wouldn't say I spend any time with them." They were around Asgard, but that was it. "The only men I'm frequently around are Frandal and Hogan or family members." And whoever was at the pub when they went out, but he didn't count that.

"As for Odin, I cannot say. Perhaps not, or perhaps he'd use it as a political means of soothing things over with Midguard." In that case, why not take advantage of it?

Jarvis drove them back into the Avenger's garage, stopping in front of the elevator to let them out. Volstagg returned the kiss. Despite the interruption, their date had gone rather well. "Let's see if you feel the same when you're surrounded by them." He chuckled. "Come on, I've got to use the facilities again." He sighed, pushing himself out of his seat to begin heading towards the elevators.

"Yeah, well, if we didn't we wouldn't have Thor, Loki, or his friends here." He was not counting the suitors in on that. He wasn't sure if he was willing to trade off, but he just might. Not a 'hand them over to the enemy' thing, but a 'close off Earth to outsiders' thing. All of 'em. That wasn't reality thought. "Volstagg probably leads everything. He'd very forward like that. I bet Cap like it." Tony smirked.

Bruce was kinda all over the place here. "Me, hiring? Does it look like I lost an eye?" Fury was technically still in charge here. Well, he was the one that signed the Avenger paychecks. Tony was just the one who made all the tech and provided a place to live and most of the living expenses. "Think more...in training. The kid's got potential." But really needed to work on his technique and some of his skills. Vastly needed to improve his incognito ability.

"Mr. Rogers and Sir Volstagg have just arrive back and can be up shortly. Prince Loki is handling the furniture that was delivered today while Prince Thor sleeps on the couch. By the way, Sir, Prince Thor has managed to catch a cold. I have provided them with medicine."

"Thanks for the update. Spider-kid didn't say, we ran out of time, but I'm betting soon-ish." When did kids get out of school again? He didn't know, he'd skipped high school entirely and finished college within a few years with a masters. Tony didn't exactly have the normal school experience.

Steve listened, he understood where Volstagg was coming from perhaps it was time that someone gave Loki a break? He expected to be the bad guy hearing a reasonable argument from Volstagg from his point of view. He can understand maybe if the Avengers just counted on him like a normal person/God. The same way they treated Thor. A clean slate perhaps the new norm would happen and occur and Loki would try to do good. He didn't expect to have his back and that would take time to trust but Steve was willing to try. Perhaps if he did, then everyone else did.

Steve smirked. "I take on any challenge besides, if I can't handle it then I have my tall very strong omega to save me from the mischief-makers." He grinned at the other being more playful. He was always the tight-laced male, a stern one but Volstagg was bringing the childish side of him that was less strict. he followed the male. "I will have a think about what you said Volstagg, I can't say it will happen straight away but I will give it ago trusting Loki. "

"That's new, I wonder if that's because he's pregnant and stressed the hell out that he caught a cold." Bruce wondered as he glanced to Tony. "The thing is I think the only upside is that Thor is technically the protector of Earth, I've heard him and Loki talk about it. Thor considers Earth as under his protection, so I will be willing to bet that scares or brings a lot of good and bad to the table. Things were simple back in the day but now we have other matters to contend with. Luckily we have other beings besides us..and The Hulk to dealw with otherwise we're screwed."

"I'd be thinking that maybe we're going to have to trust Loki regardless. Give him a second chance.  The problem is I don't think we know what Kurse's powers are it might be worth asking the boys so we know what to look out for."

"Right about now I'd assume. " Bruce was curious to see what this guy had to offer.

Later that evening, Parker couldn't believe that he met Mr Stark! Of course Ned didn't believe him at first that he met the Avengers. They boy were doing the dude thing repeating it because it was so cool. Living in a double life hasn't been easy, Ned was normally the one that did the distractions so he could slip into his spider suit. He had been making his way over using his spider suit. Dealing with small time criminals. It was longer since the trip wasn't close by and had to wrap that up to make things normal and deal with his friends.

After what seems like a life time after 2 and a half hours of travelling he was finally within range of Stark's tower.  He just hoped it wasn't too 'early' or too eager. It was late evening having a snack, he had dumped all his school stuff at home so he didn't have to carry it. He couldn't believe he was invited to Tony stark's tower! Neither him or Ned was able to comprehend this. He finally found the entrance to the tower "Hello? Mr Stark? it's me Spider man, we spoke earlier and you told me to come visit?" He asked not sure how to introduce himself. He wasn't sure who was going to respond on the other end.

Seeing the tower up close and personal was amazing.

Volstagg laughed, putting his arm around Steve's shoulder and pulling him close to him, and having the strength to do it. "Aye, don't you worry. I'll protect you from the wee ones!" Even though a lot of the were far older than Steve and some warriors themselves. Even more reason to keep them from interrogating him too harshly. In the background he could hear Jarvis parking Tony's car as they got into the elevator. "Loki doesn't make it easy." Volstagg conceded. "But I've fought beside him for centuries and can say he's an asset in battle." Apply that cunning and tactics for good and he'd be a formidable ally.

"I suppose you have to go over things with Tony now?" About what'd just happened. Volstagg was fine with tagging along but he was going to use the restroom first.

"Mr. Stark and Dr. Banner would like to request your presence at your earliest convenience."

"Well, that answers that question. Alright then, Jarvis, take us up." Might as well go now. There was bathroom there, wasn't there?

"Way to look on the bright side, Brucie-Bear." Though this was the reason Tony had been looking into the scepter and possibly using it for something... The Earth needed better protection, that was for sure. Gods were one thing but they weren't always going to be down here. What Tony needed to do was pick Loki's brain, but he couldn't very well do that with everything going on. At least not now. "Something needs to be done about this, I just don't know what it is yet." He'd think of something.

"Hey, I've been giving him a chance. It's been working out pretty well so far. He doesn't growl at me for getting near Thor." Except when he was unconscious and Loki was on edge, but he stopped that pretty quick. Hell, he'd touched Thor's stomach and nothing.

The elevator doors opened for Volstagg and Steve, Volstagg coming out quickly and heading straight for the bathroom he'd used before the last time he was up here. "Pardon me!" Tony raised a brow.

"I am glad I'm not pregnant." Who knew if he could even get pregnant with all of the damage done to him by being Iron Man and the drinking and dangerous shit he'd done in his younger years. "Have a good time on your near explosive date?" The car may or may not have exploded after they left. He hadn't checked the news. "Or are you saving that for later?" He teased with a little smirk, knowing the prude would likely scold him for it.

"Prince Lok, Mr. Stark and the others would like to request your presence in the labs. If I may, I can alert you to if Prince Thor awakens?"

Loki looked up from where he'd been putting together a dresser, the bed already taken care of but he hadn't wanted to awaken Thor by moving him. The way Jarvis worded that, it made it sound like Thor shouldn't be there. That was worrying. "Very well." He responded, placing things down and out of the way so there was little chance his mate would trip on anything. Checking on him again, Loki left and headed up to the labs, Jarvis taking him to the correct floor.

He got there around the time Volstagg came out of the bathroom. "Good afternoon, Loki! You missed quite the adventure!" Loki raised a brow at this. "Come, I believe we're all going to discuss it now, yes?"

"Yep, just missing Spider-kid, but he'll come in later." Tony replied.

"Spider-kid?" Loki inquired. Was this another 'super hero' as they called them?

"J?" Jarvis brought up a screen that showed several videos of Spider-man doing various vigilante things and stopping crimes. Loki and Volstagg observed them.

"Why is he wearing that atrocious outfit?" Loki frowned.

Tony chuckled. "Probably broke and can't sew. Don't worry, I've got that covered."

"Do you think he produced those things naturally?" Volstagg wondered, speaking of the webbing.

"No, I managed to recreate it. Clever stuff though. Anyway," He cut off the feed. "There was a whole car chase scene today leading to car crashing into a building and said building collapsing. Two cars. Spider-kid said the second driver was acting like they were mind controlled and they were carrying this," he said, pointing to the Chitauri weapon. "I think we're probably all in agreement here that this smells like a setup. And we all know who the intended target is."

Listening to the tale, he didn't see what any of it had to do with him until the words 'mind control' were uttered. It wasn't easy to truly mind control someone but there were ways to create effects similar to it. Midguardians were very susceptible to magic, having no build in defenses. His guard raised but to his surprise, Stark decisively declared it a set up. No accusations or even a suspicious look. Volstagg put his hand on his shoulder, causing him to startle slightly. The other Asgardian was smiling at him reassuringly.

"Of course it wasn't Loki. My money is on Kurse." Volstagg vouched.

"The question is, what we do about it. From what I heard, confronting him isn't going to go well. Now I can start preparing another little box for 'father dearest' when we inevitably have to toss this one out." He wondered how he'd misspell his name this time. "I have J go back and sift through all the cameras in the area to find any trace of him." This guy was really underestimating him.

"It'd be wise to gather evidence." Loki agreed. "The scepter should also be removed from Midguard soon." To remove the temptation and the accusation that he could be using it to control everyone.

"Greetings, Spider-Man. I am Jarvis, Mr. Stark's AI. Please enter along the right side and into the  door at the far end. There will be an elevator waiting for you there." Jarvis instructed, Peter having landed on the Avenger's quinjet hanger. Once the young man followed his instructions, he took him down to the labs where Tony was working on the Chitauri weapon, having taken it apart.

"Knew you were an eager beaver." Tony said without looking up. It'd been a while so the others were gone. "Get over here and don't touch anything." Because there were projects all over the place and he didn't need some kid getting into them.
