Impa hums thoughtfully, " well, that would provide somewhat of an explanation for his behavior, though still not an excuse for it. that doesn;t mean you have to be the one to deal with him however. and while i cannot say i've been particularly kind of him, i haven;t had much of any interactions at all. keeping the barriers up has kept the princess occupied, and there are matter that i have been dealing with in her stead. and frankly i cannot blame the soldiers and citizens for being afraid or disdainful of him, he's one of the faces of the enemy, it'll take more than a word from us for them to forgive all the damage he personally has done, all the lives he's taken."

Ike pulls Aiden down onto the bed with him to lie down, " can we cuddle for a bit? i know you probably have stuff planned with your brother..."

Link sighs, "but he is my responsibility since im the one who convinced him he could have a better life. That being said, i will see him when i can."

Aria nods, "well i'm sure everything will... work itself out. For now though we should get you some broth and see how your stomach handles soft foods."

Link blinks and frowns, "what? Why broth?"

Aria goes over her notes, "you lost a lot of weight while you were gone and since you've been back we have only been able to give you a broth diet. Your stomach probably isnt used to actual food yet so we need to start you off slowly. You need your strength to build back up."

Link looks down at himself, still in his pajamas, "a-ah..."

Impa chuckles, " yes, that was all you were able to eat. however you disliked the original stuff very much. you can thank Ike, he went through much trouble to obtain the smoked meats you so enjoy, allowing us to feed you easier. in fact, since you woke up there might still be some left of the special batch he got tergo to make for you, especially for you. either we can turn that into broth for you or once you can eat solid food those are there for you. He stayed with you often to watch over you, and went out of his way to find things that you enjoyed and would react to."

Links eyes widen slightly and he blushes, "he.... did that for me?"

Aria nods, "yes. He certainly made my job a lot easier. So, for today i would like you to get plenty of rest and i can bring you some broth we still have from the meat."

Link bites his lip, "i... okay....can i see ike later?"

Aria nods, "we can always let him know you wish to see him."

Soren glances at aria, "i can get link back to his room before going to see ike."

Impa nods, " you should get back to rest, i suppose if you wish the company of... Ghirahim we could get him to your room as well. Ike im sure will be pleased to be able to speak to you while you're awake."

Link nods, "i'll....talk to ike first...if he has time..."

Soren roles his eyes, "lets not start this again." He gently helps link up, "is there anything more to discuss at the moment?"

Both aria and zelda shake their heads

Zelda glances at impa, "i believe for now we are content."

Impa nods, " that will suffice, go recover Hero. that is your highest priority right now." she stands, " now, i have paperwork to do."

Ike sighs and gets up, " alright... i better do something productive, and i bet your brother is wondering where you are." he places a kiss onto Aidens lips.

Aiden smiles and gently grabs ike's face, kissing him all over, "i love you."

Link nods and with sorens help he gets to his room and settles on to the bed, "um... can...can you"

Soren nods at link, "i know. I'll go see if ike is available to talk to you." Soren leaves links room and heads to ike's room

Ike laughs softly and returns the kisses for a bit, until he hears the know on his door, " well, i guess that's my cue to go. love you too." he gets up and goes to his door and opens it, " yes?"

Soren leans against the door frame and crosses his arms, "link is settled in his room and wanted to talk to you. Try to... keep your emotions in check. Aria thinks he might be having a side effect from being woken up too early."

Ike nods, " alright... i'll try. thanks." he walks past Soren and claps him on the shoulder before going to Links room, " hey, heard you wanted to chat?"

Link looks up at ike and he hesitantly nods. He stares at ike as he remembers the ambush after getting the master sword, his eyes starting to water and his lip quivers, "im...im so sorry...."

Ike shakes his head, sitting next to the bed, " don't apologize... if anything i should apologize to you. i promised to protect you and i failed. i can't imagine what you went through."

Link sniffles and wipes his eyes, "i- i knew something bad would happen... you couldnt have done anything to change the events. No one could. But thats not why i was apologizing..." link shudders and wipes more tears, "i... i freaked out this morning...i didnt mean to...."

Ike blinks then shakes his head, " you weren;t in your right mind, it's alright. lets just forget it happened, not an issue."
