Link mentally kicked his brain, of course ike would drink. Not that link wouldnt mind joining but if he went to the bar it might attract the usual men. He didnt want ike to know.
"Um well.... if you decide to drink in the castle i wouldnt mind joining you. Im not gonna stop you from drinking but i dont think its a good thing to do it alone so.... ah but i know how you feel about me drinking so i get it if you would rather i not... "

Caleb snorts and goes back to reading, "i'm not surprised you found it boring. "

Ike blinks and sighs, considering it, " i should drink here to avoid temptation, and i'll keep it to just enough to help me sleep. as much as i'd like to get hammered i need to be focused tomorrow and not nursing a hangover. It's not that i think you shouldn;t drink, it's just about moderation. and the fact that you probably wouldn;t if i had never come so im a bad influence..."

Ghirahim sighs, " what can i say? it holds no interest for me. some babbling crap about tactics and how the people might not be themselves, weird stupid witch things. main thing i guess is i teleport them in, they get the people, i teleport them out. boom done."

Caleb nods and puts his bookmark where he was reading before giving ghirahim his full attention, smiling, "thats because you're just really good."

Link blinks and  looks  away,  "ah. Thats fine. Honestly i would probably be in a worse spot without you so dont feel bad. "

Ghirahim sighs, " nah my ability is just useful. but i suppose i can thank that for part of the acceptance i've gotten. they seem more willing to overlook my past transgressions as im such a good delivery boy." he flops onto the bed.

Ike shrugs, " hard to know if that's true or not. anyway, i've got some stuff stashed in one of the empty rooms, i'll get us some chow to go along with our drinks and we can let the night waste away."

Caleb blinks, "well id say its less of a delivery boy thing and more of the fact that you are helping the kingdom. The way that you are helping IS delivering goods but if it werent for you grabbing supplies then we wouldnt be able to make stronger swords, weapons, shields, jewels also the fish from zora's domain and other foods also helps keep the kitchen stocked with more than the boring dish every day. Its helping in keeping us alive."

Link smiles and nods, "that sounds wonderful. I wouldnt mind hanging out with you just for fun again." They may have spent time together, but it was usually for training so a nice evening would really help link not feel so crazy all the time

Ghirahim sighs, " true, though again that ability to transport things so swiftly is the only real reason they tolerate me. even so i still see the looks in their eyes."

Ike nods, " alright then, meet you in my room in a bit? i'll get all the goods." he heads to the kitchen and piles a few trays high with snacks to go with their drinking, remembering to keep Links meat free. he puts plenty of meat on his own though, and carries the heaping tray of goodies to his room and places them on the table before going to his stash and grabbing a bottle of strong liquor.

Link had quickly gone to his room, grabbing his canteen and putting it away. he didnt want the chance of it being discovered with alcohol in it rather than anything else. He freshens himself up just a bit and flinches when he sees Cia's reflection in the bathroom mirror, grinning at him. A quick check over his shoulder let him know it was his imagination again. He quickly turns around and leaves the bathroom, shuddering before leaving his room and going over to ike's room, knowing the man would be back by now.

Caleb pouts and goes over to ghirahim, grabbing his face gently, "Well who cares what their eyes have! Just pay attention to mine, okay?"

Ghirahim blinks as the other is suddenly in his field of vision, " you kidding? knowing i have you to come back to is one of the only things that keeps me from killing them for their insolence."

Ike pours a few glasses of the drink and starts munching on the fingerfood he'd gotten, meat kebobs, though not as good as tergos, were still an excellent pair to alcohol. He waves to Link as the other enters the room, " there you are, i've got snacks and treats galore. tonight we feast, for tomorrow we fight!"

Caleb pouts a bit before kissing ghirahim, sitting on his lap.

Link chuckles and goes over to the table,  "you really do have snacks galore. How in hyrule did you carry all of this back yourself? "

Ghirahim smiles and kisses him back.

Ike chuckles, " trays and years of practice. feasting and drinking on the eve of a battle has been a tradition for centuries where im from. after all, you never know if that night will be your last, as on the next day you may lose your life in battle. so to eat drink and be merry with your comrade before facing death puts heart in the men."

Link blinks and frowns, "i wish we did that. Not so much the drinking part then but at least the hanging out part. Although i dont know if losing them would have been any easier."

Ike slams back and drink and sets the shot glass on the table shaking his head, " whew that puts the life in you! things are different here. with the exception of when you had no supplies, your troops have a almost guaranteed chance of surviving to see another day, barring extreme exceptions. for us...well we knew that it was almost assured that after the battle, many of the faces we had drank and feasted with would be gone forever. either dying on the battlefield, or to their injuries after."

Link looks down and frowns, "Im sorry that you have to live with that. It must be incredibly hard. I hope you guys are able to get something out of our potions so that your world can be a bit easier for you and your men when you go back."

Ike sighs, " maybe. hopefully. otherwise, well that's just how it is. i've seen a lot of friends die, but that's why i fight, to protect them as often as i can. i guess not knowing how long you have makes the time mean more."

Link takes a bit of food, munching a bit, "yeah thats one thing i feel like is used as a toy in our world. Time." Link shrugs, "lets not make this sad. You and i havent had the chance to actually have fun. At least not since i got you to fly a cuckoo over to the lake."
