Ike nods, " yeah... i hear ya. i don't think we have to go right away, so we'll just have to make the most of the time we have before i do leave."

Link nods,  "after this is over i expect the castle to hold many parties in celebration. One of the few times the kingdom practically drowns in alcohol. I would love to enjoy them. I think we'd all have fun."

Ike snorts, " i gotta see that, a bunch of lightweights who've never drank much in their lives suddenly getting hammered."

Link hums softly, "well... the kingdom does have a few small parties here or there but its on the lighter scale. Like, we focus more on festivals and the like rather than drinking. Regardless, i would enjoy seeing you at the party since i'm sure everyone would want to personally thank you, soren and sothe for aiding us so much. "

Ike chuckles and rubs the back of his neck, " well im not sure i want to be the center of attention, im not doing anything really all that special, im just doing what i can to protect people. that's kind of my line of work."

Link nods, "yeah. They make a big deal over that stuff." He finishes eating and stretches, yawning

Ike snorts, " they shouldn't. yes it's a noble line of work, but there are jobs that are just as essential that get far less credit."

Link sighs, "i'm sure if ganondorf could be killed by anyone and not just the hero im sure things would be different."

Ike sighs, " yeah, that would certainly change the dynamics of things." He considers his glass and the alcohol, debating how inebriated he is. He pours a small amount and sips at it, " well i could hit the hay anytime here, how about you?"

Link nods and begins cleaning up the table, "yeah same. And you're sure you're fine with me sharing your bed?"

Ike nods, snagging one last pastry off a plate before Link grabs it and grins as he pops it in his mouth, " yeah im good. it's best if we're both well rested for tomorrow, and the bed is plenty big." he yawns and gets up, stripping his armor off and making a pile.

Link nods and finishes cleaning up before looking at ike, "i'll be right back then. Just gotta change."
He leaves for a short time, quickly getting to his room and changing into pj's. He glances up and his face falls when he sees Cia grinning at him, "oh sure. Take away the mirrors. That'll keep you from seeing her. Great idea except now she's everywhere else."

Cia raises an eyebrow and smirks, "what. Not coming to bed darling?"

Link rolls his eyes and looks away briefly, "well i-" he looks back at his bed and sighs when she's no longer there, "...im not crazy...." he shivers before heading back to ike's room, quickly getting into the bed

Ike is in boxers to sleep in and waves tiredly when Link gets back, climbing into the other side of the bed, " g'night..."

Link nods at ike and climbs in to bed, feeling his body relax when he gets close to ike, "night." He closes his eyes and quickly falls asleep.

Ike soon falls asleep, the alcohol putting him into a deep sleep pretty quickly.
