Ren shrugs, " more than i can do. i can run, jump, and use my teeth and claws, but that is only just my body. i can change shape slightly, but if a ship were out of power, you're far more useful. im most useful on the ground, where you seem to be made for our current world, where space is often the main place to be."

Orion sighs, "i just feel like a glorified battery. At least you can defend yourself."

Ren chuckles, " you seem able to defend yourself as well. plus you make stars. that's crazy."

Orion frowns, "yeah i make stars when i die... thats not... pleasant to think about."

Ren shrugs, " you have a bigger place in the universe. when my people die, we are simply food to nourish plants or the beasts of our planet. it is the cycle of life, and it sustains our planet, but your race is on a whole other scale with the universe."

Orion frowns and shakes his head, "doesnt make me feel better. If i make a mark in the world i want to do it and stay alive. Besides, i could end up something bad. I dont want to be something bad."

Ren nods, " well i hope you'll be able to make your mark then. there is a big universe, who knows where it'll take each of us."

Orion nods, "I'll figure out after learning more about myself if i even have something to give."

Ren chuckles, " of course you do. everyone does. you just haven;t had a chance to explore what that might be."

orion blinks and nods, "I wouldnt mind if you were with me when i find out what my purpose is, but that all depends when i find out.."

Ren nods, " perhaps on the way back if we run across any people holding classes for various crafts, we can stop long enough for you to try your hand at a few."

Orion gives a soft smile and he nods, "i would like that. A lot, actually."

The basilisk finishes his meal and gets back to packing, " we will see about working that in then."

Orion nods and sets his empty tray away, "anything i can help you pack?"

Ren shakes his head, " i am nearly done. make sure you get all of your belongings packed."
