Ren growls, uncomfortable with the man having any control over the situation. " very well, lead the way. i suggest you keep in mind that not all of your guards are unconscious, and your blood can easily join theirs." he shoves Colligan forward.

colligan stumbles a bit at first however he makes his way to an elevator and steps inside, hitting the B9 button three times as he waits for ren. he holds his hand close to his face and grumbles as he looks at the time

Ren steps in, staying close to the man. His killing claws tap against the floor as they twitch, showing that he's tense.

the elevator is worrying fast and yet after what feels like a long trip down it comes to a halt and the doors open.

the room is enormous and white aside from the very center where a large black rhombus like mass takes up most of the space. there are many steal pillars pointing at the black thing and at the very top where it comes to a point is a cat walk that stretches from one side of the room to the other, thousands of feet in the air and nearly touching the ceiling.

at ground level there's a small staircase that leads up to the black mass and half way between is a small platform where large computers are lined up with flashing lights and buttons, some scientists are by their computers looking upwards in horror

one scientist sees colligan enter the room and panics, "sir! thank the gods!" his voice was the one that came through on the speaker earlier, "what is going on?! There's a kid up way up there and he looks hurt!"

Orion leaned against the safety railing of the catwalk, panting heavily as he struggled with his pain.

Ren looks up and spots Orion, " Orion!" he hisses softly, tail lashing. he'd go up there, but then he'd leave this asshole here unguarded, which was not an option.

Orion hears ren and he nervously looks over the railing, shuddering at the height however he does see ren, "Ren!!" he sees colligan next to ren and he turns pale before taking a step back, terrified of the man for good reasons

the scientist walks down the stairs and approaches colligan, "Sir, the fluid has started to become unstable and it is causing tremors. Who is that kid and how do we get him down? he looks hurt and if we get another tremor it could break that catwalk."

Colligans eyes narrow at the scientist, "Tremors? since when has this happened? I havent felt any tremors."

the scientist huffs, "the last 10 minutes, the surrounding magnetic pillars are keeping the rest of the planet from feeling the effects however if they get strong enough then it'll break the pillars and the whole planet will start experiencing quakes."

Colligan hums softly, "It is reacting to him then... is there any way to detach the catwalk up there anyway? get him to fall in?"

the scientists eyes widen and he frowns, "you mean kill him!? sir are you out of your mind!? He needs help!"

Ren snarls at Colligan, " you fucking scumbag." he looks at the scientist, " if you can keep this piece of shit from doing anything stupid i can try and climb up to get him down here. this fucker stabbed him."

the scientist looks hesitant at first before nodding, "i-i'll try my-"

colligan rolls his eyes and pulls out his gun, aiming at the scientist and shooting him in the head before aiming at the master control panel and unloading his gun into it

the scientist drops to the ground, brain matter splattered on the ground while the other scientists start screaming and scrambling away from colligan, not wanting to be killed.

a loud explosion sound echoes from inside the black containment mass and it bulges slightly before the planet starts shaking hard, the pillars that should be helping immediately power down and sink to the floor.

a beam on the catwalk snaps causing the whole thing to topple sideways, hanging by a thread, and orion shrieks as he feels himself falling backwards and he almost falls over the railing but he manages to grab it at the last second, dangling precariously a few feet about the dark matter

Ren cries out, snarling and snapping his tail to hit the gun from Colligans hand before leaping onto a wall, starting to try and climb up to Orion.

colligan yelps when his gun is snapped out of his hands.

another massive quake shakes the room and orion loses his grip with his injured side, barely hanging on with one hand, "REN!!"

the dark matter below bubbles underneath orion and makes an unearthly groan sound as it stretches upwards like some sort of weird creature

the scientists stare in horror, never seeing this reaction

colligan watches and grins, "See? It wants him! everything will be fine if you given in star! Join the others!"

orion looks down and panics as he sees the strange metallic liquid grab hold of his boot, but he's too afraid to start kicking in case the jostling makes him lose his grip even more

Ren snarls as he holds tightly to the wall during the shake, " hold on Orion! I'm coming!" He keeps climbing, having to drive his claws hard into the walls to get a grip.

Orion looks up at his hand thats gripping the railing, watching as he slowly is losing his grip. He can feel himself being pulled by the dark matter below him and he closes his eyes tightly and takes a deep breath before looking back at ren, "Ren! Thank you! For everything and im sorry for dragging you through all of-"

His hand slips off the bar and he is instantly sucked into the dark matter, gone from this world.

The quakes stop immediately and everything calms down. one scientist glances at the computer screen and frowns, "its... i-its stabilized..."

Ren makes a desperate leap for the catwalk but doesn't get there in time. He howls out in defeat, then turning his eyes on Colligan, rage filling his face as he starts making his way towards the man.

colligan looks at ren and smiles, "Good news! I was correct! isnt that exciting?"

Ren snarls, " and you're a dead man, isn't that exciting." He leaps onto the man, baring his teeth as he prepares to drive his killing claws into the man's stomach.
